I really do. I could bitch about him the whole day and never tire.
I actually hate him.

OP posts:

Nah. Boris.

sakura · 12/02/2011 06:23

Thank you to whoever linked to the Charlie Brooker article

"It's notoriously tricky to find out much about his past, in the same way that Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt found it tricky to find out much about the serial killer John Doe in the movie Se7en. He'd managed to erase his entire existence, even slicing the skin off his fingers to avoid leaving prints. Ever seen a close-up of Cameron's fingertips? Of course not. Think about it.

The apparently self-penned bio on Cameron's website begins, "I was born in October 1966," and then leaps straight forward to 2001, missing out the decades he spent as a guffawing, top-hatted toff in between.."

Now I hate Blair with a real visceral hatred but Cameron is looking like a contender. Is it true that forests are being privatised over there in the UK now.

sakura · 12/02/2011 06:25

And who is this mole Pascoe?

alistron1 · 12/02/2011 09:08

"To those going on about some sort of democratic deficit here...the Tories won more votes and more seats than any other, hence their right to form the government and implement their manifesto (subject to cavears - Coalition Agreement etc)."

Erm... they didn't actually obtain a working majority though, hence the formation of the coalition. It's not like it was a landslide victory with the whole country welcoming in the tory ways.

Do I hate DC? Well, I don't actually know him so I have no feelings about him Clegg/Osborne/Gove personally. However they are identikit politicians in the same mould as blair and the milliblands. Out of touch and in it for themselves.

I am very depressed at the rapid implementation of tory ideology though. New Labour did have their faults but, particularly under Brown, one felt that they had a commitment to social justice.

woollyideas · 12/02/2011 09:23

Can I just ask, too... Once a government is elected, isn't it supposed to look after the interests of the whole country and not just those who voted them in? I thought that was the general idea. Confused

OfflineFor30Seconds · 12/02/2011 09:34

Not as odious as Balls, as thuggish as Prescott, as hypocritical as Blair, as dumb as Smith, nor as economically profligate as Brown.

I loathe all the above, I expect as much as the OP loathes Cameron. I had to put up with them for years and years. You've only had 9 months of the coalition so far; you may be lucky and not have them for much longer.

woollyideas · 12/02/2011 09:41

Oh, come on offline, Cameron is easily as hypocritical as Blair.

GORGEOUSX · 12/02/2011 09:49

Offline Well said. Grin

FellatioNelson · 12/02/2011 09:52

I am amazed that some of you seem to think he would lie about liking the Smiths to somehow gain Brownie points. Millions of people who were teenagers in the eighties loved the Smiths. Why should he be any different? Lyrically the Smiths were not even especially political so what's the problem? It makes me laugh when all these right-on musicians rush to distance themselves from anyone they don't approve of who dares to like their music.

georgeorwell · 12/02/2011 09:52

i really do not get why oh why u juxtapose tony bleeuurgh and cam...theyre not at all different but come from the same slimy sewer. u want a valid alternative to the noxious tories dont look at bloody labour!!!! theyre just slightly less right wing than the tories. us proud frustrated REAL lefties can but vote/join the socialist party where it manages to have candidates.

georgeorwell · 12/02/2011 09:56

oh lord gorgeous is back again...noone should get sucked his/her redundant blah admiring cam just coz he had a handicapped son who died. its like saying hitler was ok coz he cared for his dog. SO WHAT?

georgeorwell · 12/02/2011 09:59

fellatio nelson is obv not totally informed re. cam's professed musical tastes. it was his assertion that "eton rifles" by the jam that rilly stix in the craw seeing as he went to fukin eton and the songs a critique of all those posh gits. i was a smiths fan and theyre totally working class and borne out of frustration at being unemployed too. what the fuk did/does cam know bout that? he was just taking the piss

GORGEOUSX · 12/02/2011 10:00

Beertricks Have tried to return your 'kind words' as requested, but I can't find them - must have hidden the thread.

To the people I've given kind words to, who have differing opinions to me, they can keep my kind words - I don't want them back and can still be kindly towards someone whilst having a different point of view.GrinWink Love your name, by the way.

gorionine · 12/02/2011 10:05

Sorry, not read all the thread, just wanted to say I love DC for his comedy value! The best joke was last night when talking about Egypt he said something along the line of "People of Egypt deserve a leader who listen to them and do what the people want!" Yes David and what about people in the country you are leading at the moment?

FellatioNelson · 12/02/2011 10:07

I know what and who the Smiths were all about, thanks, but my point was, whatever their political leanings their most well-known songs were not overtly political. In fact many were not even subtly political. Most people born in 1966 who went to university would have been weaned on bands like The Smiths, among others. You don't have to analyse/dissect pop music or relate to the background of a band/artist to enjoy singing along in the student union bar, you know, or for it to take you back to happier carefree days when it comes on the radio 25 years later. I think you are in danger of thinking it through a bit too much and placing more supposed meaning on it than is really there.

DandyDan · 12/02/2011 10:27

YANBU - ditto Osborne, and Clegg.

GORGEOUSX · 12/02/2011 10:40

George I wasn't suggesting he was a good prime minister because of his son, Ivan. I was posting that in response to someone who said that he doesn't live in the real world; so it was in that context; ie. it was a response to how IMO he DOES live in the real world.

Also David Cameron's manifesto does not include the extermination of the Jews, so I think that comparing him Hitler is both ridiculous and, possibly, offensive to the victims of The Holocaust IMO. Smile

georgeorwell · 12/02/2011 10:44

yeah right i rilly wanted to do that gorge..i find it offensive to poor people basically everything u asserted last night. and GB was similarly vile talking about the death of their daughter on tv. call me oldfashioned but u just dont do that.

KnittedBreast · 12/02/2011 10:44

there are few people i dislike as much as him, osborne and bush are similar

GORGEOUSX · 12/02/2011 10:49

George What have I said that's offensive to poor people? Confused

KnittedBreast · 12/02/2011 10:52

why was gb vile for talking about his daughter?

ExpatAgain · 12/02/2011 10:54

well, he's an incredibly popular constituency MP which speaks for itself. I'm not a tory but like the man, I think he's decent, well-intentioned but sometimes misguided. He could have made a lot more money in the city or similar but chose politics.
Shoot me now then! Wink

RMCW · 12/02/2011 10:56

I loathe him and his gimp, clegg.

Clegg better enjoy his 5 years on the front bench. The lib dems are finished due to their pact with the devil.

Osborne and Gove just make me laugh......they are ridiculous and history will view them as such.

georgeorwell · 12/02/2011 11:03

knittedbreast children shouldnt be used to curry political favour. and talking on tv about the deaths of your child/ren is just that if you happen to be a politician. but as i said im obv oldfashioned and out of step with modern media ways. would u/could u go on national tv and talk about a child u'd lost? anyway lets not get offtopic here. cam's loathed by me also for that reason but i loathe any politicain who uses their children to (maybe even subconsciously) garner favour. simple as. now lets get back to how he's shafting all those who arent rich like him n his mates

KnittedBreast · 12/02/2011 11:03

screw history we need them gone now
