Ithink it comes off the back of another thread where some opinions were voiced about fugly people.

Some posters also then commented on how their life was "blessed" in a way because of their beauty.

It was a bit tedious but nothing to get riled about.

Yeah yeah LeQ made a comment about ugly people, I replied going on about "the FUGS", was being highly sarcastic/self-deprecating really but it seems to have stirred up some kind of hate campaign on MN yadda yadda

The opinions expressed by 'some' people (clue is in the title folks) about those they perceive as less attarctive than themselves on some on the particularly grim 'unpopular opinion' MN threads over the last couple of days has really struck a chord. I'm interested to know how how the people who've expressed those opinions will react to having their prejudices challenged.

LEQ wasn't the only one who expressed those opinions - did people REALLY get caught up in the heat of those threads or do people REALLY view less attarctive people as offensive in some way ?

Am not in any way riled BTW but have a child with a mild facial difigurement and am always intrigued by the thought processes.
