that's filthy - I've banned my DH from doing this! (we do have downstairs loo as well, so it's fair)

Shock Genuinely inconsiderate or his idea of a "joke"? Either way, I'm with you. Git!

FudgeGirl · 30/01/2011 19:53

In our house we have a loo each. Downstairs for DP, upstairs for me. To avoid this very issue :)

Anonymousbird · 30/01/2011 19:53

We only have one loo at the moment, but even so DH does try to make sure that we have all been and used the bathroom/shower or whatever... YANBU at all. That is seriously gross.

cybbo · 30/01/2011 19:53

light a match

lucykate · 30/01/2011 19:54

i think it is his idea of a joke judging by the laughing going on in there.

some of his work colleagues follow me on twitter. i think i might just have to go and tweet this Wink

trixie123 · 30/01/2011 19:54

as you have another loo he could have used that is vvv unpleasant and inconsiderate.

CointreauVersial · 30/01/2011 19:55

Aargh - mine does this too - makes me absolutely blow my top. We have THREE loos ffs!

Annoyingly, ds seems to have inherited the habit - he thinks it is sociable to come and have a poo when I'm running a bath. Just GO AWAY!

lucykate · 30/01/2011 19:55

i've just done all the cleaning today, and asked him to contain his upset arse to just the one loo. he's now used both.

i've said it before and i'll say it again,

git.

YankNCock · 30/01/2011 19:56

I really really love our separate toilet now.

PlentyOfParsnips · 30/01/2011 19:57

DS does this. We only have the one loo and it's traditional to ask round if anybody needs the loo before getting in the bath - better than having to get out in the middle because someone is desperate. I usually flap the door around and wait 5 mins before getting in, then top up the hot water. Burning candles helps too.

If you have two loos though, YANBU!

Ladyofthehousespeaking · 30/01/2011 19:57

I would absolutely lose my rag If DH DARED do this, and we only have the one loo!

I would honestly make his life hell.

Yanbu!!

lucykate · 30/01/2011 19:59

i'd let him off if we only had the one loo.

he's just come out and said it doesn't smell Hmm but this is a man who thinks rose petals and fairy dust come out his arse when he breaks wind.

FancyALittle · 30/01/2011 19:59

PlentyO'Parnsips I make a specific point of asking if anyone needs a wee before I intend to have a bath.

Iwishiwasasleep · 30/01/2011 20:01

I have banned DH from using the downstairs loo for a poo as the whole house stinks after him but if he knew I was having a bath and went in just before me I'd kick his arse.

Tell him you'll have the bath later - you just need to report a few things on twitter.

onepieceoflollipop · 30/01/2011 20:03

inconsiderate and disrespectful. Completely different if you only had one loo and he had an illness of course.

Do you have dcs? If so I would be even more concerned about the risk of infection. In a more-than-one-loo household, if someone has sickness/diarrhoea etc, it is basic common sense and infection control to limit to one loo only.

onepieceoflollipop · 30/01/2011 20:04

Why are you cleaning both loos btw? Does he not pull his weight wrt housework?

lucykate · 30/01/2011 20:06

i think the upset stomach is more to do with his gall bladder. he's waiting to have it removed (gall stones) and since friday, he's been having pains etc.

SmallSherryforMedicinal · 30/01/2011 20:07

I wouldn't be even a little bit amused. Don't think my dh would dare pull a stunt like that

lucykate · 30/01/2011 20:09

i'm going in. think if i don't stake a claim to the bathroom soon he'll be in there again. now he'll have to go downstairs. he wouldn't dare do it while i'm actually in there thanks goodness!

OP posts:
onepieceoflollipop · 30/01/2011 20:10

Presumably it's not leaving a pleasant atmosphere if he has an "upset stomach" in either of the loos so he is still being unpleasant and disrespectful by using both.

2rebecca · 30/01/2011 20:17

If you have a downstairs loo I wouldn't bother telling anyone I was going for a bath and would just go.
I wouldn't find this funny, thankfully I have a husband who likes me and is considerate.
This is the sort of thing a younger brother would do, not a loving husband, although judging by some of the fart threads alot of you seem to have husbands who treat you more like a sister.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 30/01/2011 20:20

My DH like to wait till I'm in the bath, then comes in and drops one.

Can't lock him out as lock has been removed as kids kept locking themselves in. Hmm (Only so many times you can bash the door in before it needs replacing)
