I've just had to endure watch this for the first time. What a load of utterly hideous American moralising crap. And ruining a load of good songs to boot. Terrible, terrible television.

YACNBU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a hideous monster created to take music and turn it into that pink mushy stuff they make chicken mcnuggets out of!

lucykate · 27/01/2011 22:21

please don't judge it on this week's episode, which was so unbelievably awful I had to turn it off. Generally it's utterly fab.

This weeks episode wasn't great, granted, but just take it for what it is - mucho fromage, easy on the brain and great music.

MissQue · 27/01/2011 22:27

It was hearing that they had chosen to turn my beloved Rocky Horror into McRocky McHorror that turned my general indifference to pure hatred.

MillyR · 27/01/2011 22:27

I love Glee, but was angered by the Grilled Cheesus episode. For once Sue Sylvester was in the right. She is also right about his hair. I wish they would make him wear a hat.

catinthehat2 · 27/01/2011 22:30

I managed 9 minutes worth once

truly did I understand the meaning of "the emperor's new clothes"

it's poor

SixtyFootDoll · 27/01/2011 22:33

YANBU - pile of pants

JarethTheGoblinKing · 27/01/2011 22:34

lucykate, is it just me, or did they fail to to the Time Warp even once.. poncy fuckers Wink

lucykate · 27/01/2011 22:48

it's not like they're trying to do macbeth, it's a comedy drama. it's meant to be all a bit tongue-in-cheek.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 27/01/2011 23:04

but they DID IT WRONG! Shock

DuplicitousBitch · 28/01/2011 10:43

the lip synching is shit this series. also when rachel does that singing right in someones face i want to close myeyes and cover my ears and adopt the fetal position.

LadyOfTheManor · 28/01/2011 12:03

YANBU.

It's the biggest pile of wank I have ever seen. I hate it. I hate hate hate it.

bruffin · 28/01/2011 12:15

YABU
It's not meant to be serious.
I never get these posts, what are you trying to prove? If you don't like something don't watch it again and move on with your life and leave it to those who do like it.
Everyone has different tastes and it is a sad life if we all had to like the same thing.

TooImmature2BMum · 28/01/2011 12:40

I love Glee. Grilled cheesus itself was ace, but the whole wishy-washy belief/disbelief in God scenario wasn't. Perhaps in America that's more risque than it is here?

I am not a music snob purist, though, and I love singing along. However, I hated Bridge Over Troubled Water this week because it was all weird and messed up.

LetThereBeRock · 28/01/2011 12:45

YADNBU,and I love musicals.

teenyanne · 28/01/2011 12:47

YABVU - we should all aim to become more like sue sylvester Grin

Tee2072 · 28/01/2011 12:48

I really enjoyed the 1st series but was so disgusted by the 2nd series premier I haven't watched it again.

tribpot · 08/02/2011 20:42

Thought I should resurrect this thread to say I hated this week's episode as much as those that came before it. I love Rocky Horror and I love Glee and the combination was just utter shite. What happened to a plot? They seemed to be taking it for granted they get to nationals this year, Puck's vanished to juvie so aren't they even short a member to compete?

It seems to have become an infomercial for the musical downloads. Does it ever recover its form?

ohboob · 08/02/2011 20:46

I can't believe I'm going to agree and say it's rubbish. I was a huge fan last year, loved loved loved the first series. But I can't get through a whole episode this series. It's dire.

cries.

tribpot · 08/02/2011 20:57

Totally agree with you. I can imagine there's a lot of pressure after a series achieves such popularity in its first season (think Friends) but this is dire.

BeatriceLaBranche · 08/02/2011 21:38

It's a perfectly entertaining children's programme Grin

BusyMissIzzy · 08/02/2011 21:47

Ach, most TV is shite really, it's just entertainment and escapism. There are a few shows I would class as really excellent (Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Band of Brothers, The Wire to name a few), but Glee isn't one of them. It's fun though, if you like cheesy music. Agree that it's gone downhill since the first season though.
