Dh swearing at me infront of dc

Long story short, I am a sahm of 3 and usually knackered by the time dh comes home. When he got home tonight I asked him to make me a coffee and he called me a "cheeky B". I know he abbreviated it but my eldest ds is 10 and knew what he meant. Am I over reacting to be cross with him?

Agreed - he does sound like a twat, now you've said that - used up all your favours, indeed! Shock

Syxx · 27/01/2011 20:30

Nah its probably just me tbh, I know I over react to stuff, You all said that and he tells me that all the time too, you can't all be wrong Grin

We said that you might have possibly overreacted to him calling you a cheeky b.

If you've been in a hospital, are still on painkillers and are obviously exhausted by the end of the day with 3 kids to take care of and you're making him dinner- well, only aa arsehole would refuse to make you a cup of coffee.

If DP gets home before dcs are in bed, he gladly gives dd a bath etc. He would definitely make me a coffee if asked.

Tbh, I feel like there's more going on in your marriage than you're letting on.

YANBU at all. Hate it when dh swears.
I think sometimes they don't realise how aggressive it is - if that's any excuse for him..I'm sure he didn't mean to upset you, but just was in a bad mood himself - and had a foul day himself....
still hate it though

porcamiseria · 27/01/2011 21:36

agree bitch is hardly a swear word, if he called you a cheeky fucking cunt well that would be annoying .....

winnybella · 27/01/2011 21:38

Bitch is hardly a swear word? Really?

GORGEOUSX · 27/01/2011 21:40

Winnybella I agree. This whole scenario has only come out in bits. At first I thought OP was being unreasonable, but now that I know the whole story, I think her DH is a complete arsehole.

I've spent all evening trying to convince her that he's ok, and now that I realise what a complete twat he is, she is saying it's not him, but her!!! Confused Shock

winnybella · 27/01/2011 21:58

Yes, Gorgeousx, same here, I thought she was overreacting, but now am not sure. Not sure at all.

Are you ok, OP?

princessglitter · 27/01/2011 22:01

My dh told me to f* off today - count yourself lucky.

porcamiseria · 27/01/2011 22:03

actually its a swear word lite

if my boss called me one I'd be not amused

anyway sense OP upset so will tottle off.....

oranges · 27/01/2011 22:05

christ on a bike, is it really acceptable to allow your other half to call you bitch or bugger? really?

GORGEOUSX · 27/01/2011 22:07

Syxx I'm sorry if that sounded harsh - don't want to upset you any more than you already are! It's bloody hard being at home with little ones and I just think, it's not much to ask.... a cup of coffee..... hope you're ok. Smile

porcamiseria · 27/01/2011 22:09

oranges, chill! light hearted banter can use the word bitch and bugger, get over yourself!

but I sense maybe OP has ishoos and I dont want to make her feel worse
