Sorry folks for being trollish and getting into bunfights

Are these things forgiven? Can an OP like me move on from troll like behaviour?!

Got a new approach and thinking about a new name to go with it Smile

AIBU to think that bygones can be bygones?!

you annoyed the f*ck out of my on the smoking thread, but I admire your strong opinions. I just think sometimes you need to remember there is no one right or wrong answer to anything, and that people reading your posts have feelings too, so if you promise to employ a little tact a diplomacy I'll forgive and forget.
swearing is no issue for me as you can tell (as long as you dont use the C word its fine)

Serendippy · 21/01/2011 20:22

I think you also get carried away in the moment, like me, I get all defensive about topics which in RL I actually have no opinion on if someone argues for the other side in an ignorant way. Even if I don't care about a subject, ill-informed rudeness will always generate a response.

MsKLo · 21/01/2011 20:23

It wasn't that I meant to fire people up - I think the way I put things across at times fired things up and my response could get arsey...!

Kirsty - no not a telling off just some reminders to be more civil which is fine as I can see that

I often think people are too rude for others for simply having an opinion but sometimes the way things are put across makes me feel arsey to people but that isn't a great way to be and I don't like it when people are sanctimonious and rude and so I shouldn't be either!

BlessedAssurance · 21/01/2011 20:24

I have amny of your posts and i thought' boy this woman has balls, and you do not back down, some admiration from this corner, but not when you are swearing, that just makes you sound like a spoilt brat, apart from that why change for anyone?

this is a forum where people say whats on their mind, and as long as long as you are helping nothing wrong in being strong minded,,

do not go anywhere, don't you dare leave this place:o

BlessedAssurance · 21/01/2011 20:25

meant to say seen many of your posts, not amny..

scottishmummy · 21/01/2011 20:26

dont change names and dont skulk off

MsKLo · 21/01/2011 20:27

sickofholidays

thanks

I really do believe in everyone's right to an opinion! I just believe passionately in my opinion at times but it honestly does not mean I think others should feel like me! I am fine with different opinions, I will say I do not agree but a different opinion is no problem!

I think sometimes, people were 'oh i am so open-mouthed at you' blah de blah and I was sometimes like 'oh get ovaaaa yourself' but there were times I could have answered better but some posts were also sooooooo arsey and that makes me mad! grrrrrr!

I think maybe a bit more tact might be a good thing - something that was lacking in a big mad Italian house growing up! lol

MissBeehiving · 21/01/2011 20:28

There's nowt wrong with having an opinion and putting that across, with a bit of emphasis now and again Wink. But that's not the same as losing the argument and just slagging anyone off who doesn't agree with you.

MsKLo · 21/01/2011 20:29

awww ta blessedassurance

I have had some fantastic messages from people in my inbox after some threads so that was nice!

no i am not skulking off anywhere! i didnt mean i was gonna name change so people didnt know who i was, if that was the case i would have just created a new account! i fancy a new name anyway - KLo is boring me!

OP posts:
MsKLo · 21/01/2011 20:31

ok missbeehiving, that's what i mean, i don't like that people think i have a problem with people not agreeing with me as i really don't - not at all, but i can see how it could have been taken like that! and when your comments are misconstrued that is not nice either.

i just say it as i feel it!

OP posts:
scottishmummy · 21/01/2011 20:32

i never recall poster names anyhoo

TCOB · 21/01/2011 20:33

I like your posts MsKlo and I like the fact that MN is full of ballsy, outspoken, intelligent, sometimes frankly terrifying women (and men) who say how they feel. And it seems sometimes that things get heated. But it's a forum about the most important things in life (well, Boden aside Grin ) so can't exactly be a Mother's Union meet at all times. I'm mostly too pussy to get involved but I do love the argy bargy when it's people who feel strongly stating their opinion...as long as it's not just wind-ups for wind-ups sake.

FreeBards · 21/01/2011 20:34

Not reading comments but once a troll always a troll. Grin

OK OK, whatever, this is the internet. I guess this post is for even more attention?

Right/wrong?

Oooh! Biscuits! Biscuit Biscuit

MsKLo · 21/01/2011 20:36

really scottishmummy? you have been verrrrry vocal to me on some threads! lol

something about finding my elbow on my arse etc once!

lol

OP posts:
scottishmummy · 21/01/2011 20:38

and? im on mn and no i dont commit names to memory

Gemsy83 · 21/01/2011 20:41

Is this just a thinly veiled please stroke my ego thread? Personally I couldn't care less whether you stay/go/namechange but this thread just reeks of insecurity

FreeBards · 21/01/2011 20:41

TCOB: what is terrifying about them?

Is it the honesty? The frankness of it?

What makes an intelligent argument online 'scary'?

earwicga · 21/01/2011 20:41

You're not a troll MsKlo. That thread where you did a u-turn when you found out the OP was altinkum was bloody bizarre though. Others have been fair enough, it's your opinion. And I seem to recall you going on about name-changers before...

scottishmummy is a troll - she posts to wind people up and for no other reason.

FreeBards · 21/01/2011 20:41

Also, OP isn't scary, she uses "lol" ffs. Grin

Voodoobollox · 21/01/2011 20:42

I would love to think that your other thread re old women touching your baby's hands is trolling. To think someone would really have that little humanity is pretty upsetting

FreeBards · 21/01/2011 20:43

Is this just a thinly veiled please stroke my ego thread?

Er.. yes.

It's a LET'S TALK ABOUT ME THREAD!!!!

And, it's working. Grin

scottishmummy · 21/01/2011 20:43

im a troll?aye if you say so. next

Gemsy83 · 21/01/2011 20:44

Nobody has a problem with people expressing their opinion but when they are like you MsKLo and start calling people twats/telling them to fuck off saying childish 'haha' type comments you just do look as though you are only here to wind folk up.

Gemsy83 · 21/01/2011 20:45

Didnt anyone tell you people 'its alllllllllllll about me!!!!'

TCOB · 21/01/2011 20:53

Freebards - terrifying isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's a strength that is often missing from RL - and yes, honesty and frankness can be terrifying. But also massively invigorating.
