DH went to the GP the other day and as he was leaving she said 'sorry...I don't usually do this...would you like to go for a drink sometime?' Shock

He mumbled something and pointed to his wedding ring!

He came home and told me very sheepishly, but I think he's secretly delighted Grin

Well neither of them will be delighted when he has to see her for piles or boils or summat!

mutznutz · 17/01/2011 21:36

Is she your GP too?

cobbledtogether · 17/01/2011 21:36

She was probably just shocked to see a man in the doctors who wasn't accompanied by his mum or drawing a pension.

In all seriousness though, that's a bit unprofessional and I'm a bit Shock at it.

bupcakesandcunting · 17/01/2011 21:36

Isn't that unethical?

Completely unethical. He should speak to the Practice manager.

Imagine if it was a male GP and a vunerable female patient. What would we all be saying?

Honeydragon · 17/01/2011 21:38

Ploppy's fellas a studmuffin
Ploppy's fellas a studmuffin

PaisleyLeaf · 17/01/2011 21:38

That's really bad.
And I don't think he can go back to her now.
I know I couldn't.

ChippingInSmellyCheeseFreak · 17/01/2011 21:39

Are you sure he's not pulling your leg?

I think she'd be in a power load of shite if he reported her... so she must fancy the pants off of him to risk her job like that?!

SecretNutellaFix · 17/01/2011 21:39

Shock not on at all, very very frowned on by GMC

thisisyesterday · 17/01/2011 21:40

yep, i too think he is winding you up!

mistressploppy · 17/01/2011 21:40

She was a locum, apparently.

I do feel quite proud Grin

But I'm surprised anyone would risk being reported, it can't be allowed, surely? Maybe it's different if they're temporary?

manicbmc · 17/01/2011 21:40

Go back there and see her with him and kiddie in tow next time anyone is ill and just say as you leave 'he is gorgeous, isn't he?' Grin

Is totally unethical having said that though.

MsKLo · 17/01/2011 21:41

did she really? does she know he is married? if yes, report her! ha!

mistressploppy · 17/01/2011 21:41

It's not really like him to lie, he didn't make a big enough deal of it really!

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 17/01/2011 21:42

Was she a locum or anything like that? Or actually the GP he's registered too?

I'm not sure what is correct, but my former colleagues husband asked her out when he was seeing her again for a follow up after she broke her arm. Which was apparently ok?

xstitch · 17/01/2011 21:42

Shock that is so unprofessional and unethical ploppy. She could get herself into so much trouble.

I can kind of see why he's delighted though.

charliesmommy · 17/01/2011 21:43

I would imagine he is winding you up, or he misheard her!.. lol!!

GreenEyesandHam · 17/01/2011 21:43

She was quite clearly drunk.

No offence to your DH

macdoodle · 17/01/2011 21:44

Actually on second thoughts, I dont believe him Hmm

Honeydragon · 17/01/2011 21:48

X post

twas a locum.... is that ok then?

Ploppy the mind boggles was he seeing her for that made her still ask him out Grin Wink

dinosaurkisses · 17/01/2011 21:48

Is your husband actually Don Draper?
