to think if you pay this much for a house you can expect at least more than one on suite?

This place is just down the road from us - I'd love it but my DH won't hear of living there.

solo · 16/01/2011 10:52

Think of the woodworm Techno

kickassangel · 16/01/2011 15:56

really not sure about the interior decor, and the suit of armour by the driveway is ponce-tastic.

SoupDragon · 16/01/2011 16:03

llareggub [sniggers at name] That bonkers place just proves that money can't buy taste.

One of ds's school friends lives here....

ivykaty44 · 16/01/2011 19:38

there is something rather odd about the table and chairs in the conservatory - it reminds me of a gaggle of woman having a chat in a huddle in the middle of the room.

i don't like all these expensive houses and the sink plumbing - there are a few including the last one cointrau linked to that have open pipping under the sinks - get the plumbers to finish the job is what I keep thinking Grin

I like thisone of DHs friend's lives near by and schools are great but too many ties to move from here now!

ivykaty44 · 16/01/2011 19:52

Yes though not sure about the expensive blue moulded kitchen top, but could have a great rearrange and it would be fab kitchen sofa area if you pulled the table up into the kitchen area

My ideal home.

God I spent 3 hours looking at right move last thursday night after the roof started leaking and DH decided we wouldn't throw any more money at our house.

I want to swap jobs with Kirsty!

MargaretGraceBondfield · 16/01/2011 19:54

my lottery win home

MargaretGraceBondfield · 16/01/2011 19:55

Went on for £4 million, I am waiting until it gets to about £400,000 and then I'm going to buy it!!

dessen · 16/01/2011 19:56

Wouldn't want an ensuite - but wouldn't say no to a walk in wardrobe

Eglu · 16/01/2011 20:02

llaregub DH says your one is obviously owned by Arabs. He said the chairs lined up in the living room are a very arab feature. He used to live in the middle east.

sweetheart · 16/01/2011 20:14

dh and I were eyeing up this place earlier. It's on an estate we said we'd never move to as it's terribly crowded but I do love the look of this place

ivykaty44 · 16/01/2011 20:34

Madam - look under the sinks in the bathroom - unfinished plaster and unsightly plumbing

ivykaty44 · 16/01/2011 20:39

Eglu - it isn't arabs Grin

RachelHRD · 16/01/2011 20:48

LoL sweetheart that is where a good friend of mine lives!! He loves it there and hasn't had any problems with neighbours.

This would do me - nothing too grand....

sungirltan · 16/01/2011 20:49

tramadol totally agree re ensuite. we have an ensuite wetroom and its vile i hate it. has a stupid frosted glass door so i might as well wee with the door open. and it never dries out properly so it smells. i want to surgically remove it from my house. i would like a guest bedroom with an ensuite though - make my mum happy when she stays :-)

anastasiak · 16/01/2011 20:50

its "en" not "on" suite, and tasteful period houses often don't have any en suite bathrooms anyway - I wouldn't judge whether a house was appealing based on how many bathrooms there were!

maighdlin · 16/01/2011 21:02

my ideal house it looks like my mother did the decorating but think of the potential. the only way i could afford it would be to win the lottery so i would have loads left over to do it my way.

kickassangel · 16/01/2011 21:37

gosh, they like a nice strong 'blue' don't they.
why, when there are so many pictures of the view, did they include one with a tanker in the middle of the shot?

apart from that last house, there's a lot of cream/pale yellow & beige colours. which is exactly how our house is painted (and it gets a bit boring after a while). i'm planning to get some art work.
