I'm sure that the trailer for the new Meet the Fockers (Little Fockers) ought to be on after the watershed. My DS aged 3 has spent the entire holidays shouting "Little Fockers!" and is showing no interest in stopping and he's back at school tomorrow Grin

AIBU in thinking that this shouldn't be shown when kids are lurking? It IS funny but I would bet my bottom dollar I'll be called in for a word with the teacher tomorrow...

bupcakes....try the normal word as a naughty one, it really worked for us. And I honestly wouldn't have anything other than cbeebies around such a small child. Commercial channels are the work of the devil and breed consumerism and are generally shit.

southeastastra · 03/01/2011 20:15

yeah let her watch eastenders so much more cultured

TheFeministParent · 03/01/2011 20:16

that's not Hmm either, I really think that. American cartoons are full of stupid, jerk, doufus etc

TheFeministParent · 03/01/2011 20:17

Eastenders is on cbeebies? What is the world coming to? GrinWink

purplepidjbauble · 03/01/2011 20:19

usualsuspect, nor would I.

The kids were shouting it loudly for about half an hour outside the club which happens to be next to the police station. Our local bobbies are lovely and often pop in for a cuppa and let the kids play with the lights on the cars etc Smile

bupcakesandcunting · 03/01/2011 20:20

Oh come on! Cbeebues gets a bit much when you've had it on for days on end due to being snowed in. There have been some lovely Christmassy films on c4 too. I know I should have ben making fusili necklaces with DS but have had gland infection [woe is me emoticon]

PMSL at Thankyou Wankyou !

bupcakesandcunting · 03/01/2011 20:21

Ps agree about American cartoons. CITV is banned in this house. I'd let DS eat crack before let him watch Ben 10

AIBU to think that anything with the word "Fox" in needs to be post watershed?

bupcakesandcunting · 03/01/2011 20:52

Don't be a dingbat Wink

SoupDragon · 03/01/2011 21:16

Oh, believe me, Fox in Socks takes on a whole new meaning...

TrillianAstra · 03/01/2011 21:30

Definitely teach him to say 'fecker' instead, Father Ted is much cooler.

TheFeministParent · 04/01/2011 07:01

You could always switch off.

Switch off!? -does not compute-

Inkipinkiponki · 04/01/2011 09:49

Um! Aren't you in charge of the tele?

bupcakesandcunting · 04/01/2011 09:50

Yes I am in charge of the television. What's your point?

OP posts:
Inkipinkiponki · 04/01/2011 09:53

Switch it off and change your name before he learns to read properly.

usualsuspect · 04/01/2011 09:55

Tele is the root of all evil bupcakes ..everyone on mn knows that

bupcakesandcunting · 04/01/2011 09:55

Yawn. It must be very dull being you.

perfectstorm · 04/01/2011 09:57

Simple answer is not to let a 3 year old watch anything but Ceebeebies, tbh. Don't see why tv aimed at adults should be censored so it's appropriate for a 3 year old until 9 pm. 11 year old maybe, but 3?

bupcakesandcunting · 04/01/2011 09:58

Seriously, am I the only one who let my child watch the Christmas films on c4 over the holidays and possibly disappeared off to put washing on/make beds whilst child was watching? I can't sit doing organic crafts all the time. One does not have the funds to buy one some domestic help. I must do better...

perfectstorm · 04/01/2011 09:59

DVDs. Happy Feet and The Snowman. Problem sorted. Finding Nemo is apparently terrifying, though. "THE SHARKS," he wailed.

perfectstorm · 04/01/2011 10:00

Also, how can crafts be organic? I'm curious now.

bupcakesandcunting · 04/01/2011 10:00

Ps thankyou to the MNers who took this thread for what it was rather than an opportunity to lecture me on superior parenting :)
