Xmas Grin

am 40+2, and am not really feeling ready iyswim.

but would really like to meet him now.

btw, i do know babies arrive when they decide to arrive.

but if you all want to yell 'get out baby' at my bump, feel free!

definately less movement. not concerned though as i can get her to move when needed. a fizzy drink usually works. tbh i'm glad she's a bit quieter, movements are getting really painful.

nipple stim just hurts too much and makes them leak Blush

shell96 · 02/01/2011 09:33

mine too! Am 40+6. Went 40+10 with ds then got induced and he still took 30 hours to arrive. Mind u, ds and i currently have horrible flu so dont blame baby for not wanting to arrive at the house of germs!

JamieLeeCurtis · 02/01/2011 10:26

Come on babies - come and meet the world!!!

OP and others - I feel your pain. I was desperate with both of mine

BreastmilkDoesAFabEggnogLatte · 02/01/2011 10:29

YANBU, and nor is anyone else overdue.

Can't teach punctuality too early, IMHO. Being late is a guaranteed way to piss people off throughout life Xmas Grin

AnnOnimous · 02/01/2011 14:14

I was 40 + 8 with both of mine ... I never did find any 'trick' to make them come out any faster than they wanted.

NinkyNonker · 02/01/2011 14:17

I got to 41+3 when DD finally appeared, I feel your pain. COME ON BABY FAIRY!

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 02/01/2011 21:57

babyfairy has decided today isnt the right day.

maybe tomorrow.

classydiva · 02/01/2011 21:59

Back pain is a form of labour! Mumatron!

Maybe the baby is on its way.

mumatron · 02/01/2011 23:40

same here. no baby and so far no sign of another sleepless night as all pains have gone.

hopefully a good nights sleep will stop me feeling so down.

wayoftheworld · 02/01/2011 23:52

Dear ladies once the baby is out is out and there is no more sleep there after for at least 6 months. So have a cup of tea and Biscuit and just chill!!

Madinitials · 03/01/2011 00:09

You poor ladies - COME ON BABIES,< MOVE IT!!

I'm only 36 weeks and already thinking "well next week is full term soooo.....".

Good luck!!

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 03/01/2011 09:19

worst night sleep so far. loads of pain, but not contraction-type. nope it felt like he was trying to claw and kick his way out. felt him pushing and stretching in every direction. at one point thought he was going to create a new exit near my butt!

Georgimama · 03/01/2011 09:33

Today could be the day fairytale, my DS went CRAZY the night before I went into labour, I actually thought he was going to pop out of my stomach like an alien.

(I won't tell you that the labour that started the next morning went on for nearly three days though, that would be unhelpful....)

mumatron · 03/01/2011 10:28

managed to sleep from 1am until about half an hour ago.

fairytale hope things get moving for you.

i feel really sick today :( the joys off late pregnancy are never ending.

oh and it has just started snowing here again, just to top my day off. dp wont let me go walking in case i fall. i had planned to walk as far as poss today.

theevildead2 · 03/01/2011 10:38

FairyTaleOfNewYork mumatron and theevildead2's babies are being unreasonable

theevildead2 · 03/01/2011 10:40

mumatron if it jsut started snowing the conditions shouldn't be icy? I'd go for a walk. ALthough if you already have icy paths I'd probably let dh not let me outside.. if you get my drift Confused

theevildead2 · 03/01/2011 10:41

Can I also say it's really bad manners to be late to your own birth.

theevildead2 · 03/01/2011 10:44

And I swear I'll never post again after this.. would you lot stop saying we'll never sleep again after the baby.

Some of us already can't sleep! Have not had a full nights rest since I got pregnant and for the past 2 trimesters I wake about every bloody hour... and around 3 or 4 am can be found posting complete shite on mumsnet. I long for the days when it is a baby waking me up.. and not me shrieking in hip pain.. or to having some how beached myself on my back..

not bitter at all not at all.

GwennieF · 03/01/2011 10:51

Oooohhhh.... poor you!

DS was +15
DD was +14

It got to the point where I actually believed that I would be pregnant for ever!

mumatron · 03/01/2011 12:35

evildead i agree about the sleepless nights. at least i will have a reason to be awake then.

FairyTaleOfNewYork · 03/01/2011 14:45

theevildead, totally agree. i am already a mum to 4 girls, so am used to sleepless night. but getting woken up my random pains, heart, etc etc when all the kids are asleep is the worst thing ever.

at least last night i had dd1 to chat to at 3am as she was up getting an inhaler and a drink.

OP posts:
FairyTaleOfNewYork · 03/01/2011 14:47

heart=heartburn.

sleep deprivation already.

anyway, had more 'show' today sp maybe soon. but seeing thats happened before, probably not.

though i might start screaming 'INDUCTION' at the bump o scare him out

ilythia · 03/01/2011 15:22

The first night DD2 was born was the best night's sleep I got since DD21 was born. I was in a private room i the hospital with a teeny baby BFing next to me in bed, no crying, no snoring DH, no fighting for duvet. And I could eat chocolate in bed. Was lovely.

GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT.

FabbyChic · 03/01/2011 15:24

Any news on these babies yet?

mumatron · 03/01/2011 16:18

more show here too, and a few random pains but nowt else.

i will be gutted if i have to be induced as it means i wont be allowed a water birth. always wanted to have a go but never been able to.
