to be annoyed that dh is taking work phone calls today

He works for a US company and it's not a holiday there today. Phone and Skype have been going all afternoon and the rest of us have to tiptoe around while he talks to his American colleagues. And it's nothing that couldn't wait.

YANBU to be annoyed because of course you expected to be with him without the interruptions.

However, you do have to bear with the situation because the work needs to be be done.

My DH owns his own company and this happens to us all the time, but i would rather he works so that we can pay the mortgage, fees, bills etc. I hope he makes it up to you

Why should he 'have to' make it up to her - he was working not down the pub. Bit like me saying I have to make it up to DH because I go to bed at 9 am because the baby has me up half the night.

Erm 9pm - the sleep deprivation is getting to me - I wish I could go back to bed at 9 am!
