It was my all time favourite gift ever and is so unusual and contemporary and I love it! So I have changed into pyjamas for the evening/night and am still wearing it!

No hairspray on either, or perfume, you have to be careful of real pearls and Chemicals.

I am the same about some diamond earrings I bought with my first ever bonus - have been too afraid lot take them off since, incase I lose the bloody things.

HA HA HA ! I'm sat here with my pearls on with my jammies! I got them 2 years back but just had them restrung and they never leave my neck, jammies or otherwise!

Do you sleep in them? I did consider it! I have a "normal" strong of pearls which I was given on my 21st. It gets worn about once a year for special occasions. it just feels a bit "fancy" for everyday wear. It has a quite fancy clasp.

This one is so different. Impossible to describe. Each pearl is knotted onto a black thick cord type string. And it is worn doubled around the neck. Sooooo cool!

I do, I do sleep in them (it's the simple things in life...!). I warn you to be careful when using perfume on bare skin as this can erm wither them/strip them. I tend to spritz or use actual parfum instead of eau de toilette so I can dab it on with my fingers and avoid brutalising my pearls.

I don't wear them because I like them-I just can't undo the damn clasp they insist on using

I remember years ago being told that DH asked a friend whether he should give me a pearl necklace for Christmas. Friend dirty old mare couldn't stop laughing! poor DH was clueless and very confused

I'm suffering from envy ..... I have some simulated pearls (good ones, but still simulated), my Mum has cultured pearls which are lovely, but I don't think I know anypne with real (not cultured or simulated) pearls.
I actually really like freshwater pearls - all "bumpy" and individual.

I don't wear perfume so that's ok :)
