Had DS3 2 weeks ago and when I got to 9-10 cm found the pain unbearable, I was in floods of tears and screaming through the contractions, have just watched a woman on one born every minute have a practically silent birth!

yanbu. I screamed my head off DC2. DP overheard the midwives saying to each other, God that was a rough night - I was the only one in Xmas Blush.

i had an epidural and tbh i can't see what there would be to make a noise about? i certainly didn't! i couldn't feel a thing! Grin

the only time i was loud was when i was telling them to take the bloody 'monitor thing' off my arm because i was too hot and couldn't push anymore as i might faint from heat exhaustion!

MrsRhettButler · 26/12/2010 00:57

is heat exhaustion even a thing? Confused Blush

I can't really remember - DH has said I don't make much noise. I suppose each birth's different. I'm due in a week - I could shout my head off this time.

Oh yes, heat exhaustion is a thing. If you've never had it, lucky you. If you ever do, mix one litre of water with a pinch of salt, a tablespoon of sugar and some fruit juice to take away the taste, then drink it with a couple of parecetemol as a chaser. Probably not possible during labour!
