she's probably just a horribly irritating child Grin

How do you know that they are on holiday? Maybe they are actually away with work, couldn't find anyone to look after their child and so had to take her with them but, being actually "at work" obviously will need to arrange childcare in the hotel. What is their alternative - not many people can find 24 hour childcare so if the both needed to be away with work then what should they do?

MrsMooo · 22/12/2010 13:45

I leave my DS for 10 hours a day, it's called having two full time working parents.

Others have already given the possible explinations at to why they are working, the fact that they are off to conference call all the time clearly shows this isn't a proper holiday so YABvU - it's not as if they are leaving her alone in the hotel room, or alone at all anywhere, or swanning off to enjoy themselves is it?

And no long term child care ever WTF? what are working parents supposed to do then? Much as I'd love to strap my toddler to my back and have him at work I think my boss would be less than impressed, and I think 9 or 10 or however many hours in childcare is better than bankruptcy and homlessness for the parents

sore point

Hulababy · 22/12/2010 13:47

I think it is too much personally, for any child let alone a 5yo.

tyzer2001 · 22/12/2010 13:49

Maybe they own the hotel? In which case she's in childcare, although it is also the kids club?

Maybe some people should stop watching what other people are doing with their kids and go and have a bloody sangria!

Christ.

You are on holiday and yet you are on mumsnet bleating on about someone else's childcare arrangements.

You saddo.

radiohelen · 22/12/2010 14:10

If I could prize my little wonder off me I'd have him in childcare/ stick him down a mine 24/7 if I could.
Get your big daily fail judging pants off and get on with enjoying your holidays.
