Im fuming, not done anything yet, nor will I, but enjoying making up replies in my head Angry

My DS was Baptised today, relaxed sort of invites, kinda word of mouth. DHs cousin (about 40?) and her DD (23 ish) came, we never really speak to them, but they turned up(fine)

The DD then updated her FB status during the Baptism (only 20 ish mins, no one came to the mass before) "forgot how boring church was! won't be happy if I miss the chelsea game!!"

They came to the 'reception', sat and filled their plates, no word to DH or me (I was doing my best to 'do the rounds'),and left - not even a goodbye.

The Baptism was abit more intimate - only 5 children and bits of family, I cannot believe she sat their on her phone, complaining about something she wasn't even really invited to. I am seething at how fucking disrespectful that is.

Moaning on here to stop me being tempted to comment on her status Angry

ASLD did you comment yet?

Ok, the DD is 23 not a teenager, but frankly what's with all the 'ah, that's normal for a teen' posts? Why do we expect so little of teenagers, it's ridiculous.
And Facebook, don't even get me started...

I'd probably respond along the lines of "Sorry you found X's baptism so boring. It was a lovely surprise for us that you came, we weren't expecting you! We'd have loved a chance to chat too, but unfortunately you left so soon after eating there was no opportunity - maybe see you soon? Lots of love, ASLD"

She might get it, she might not. Hopefully some of her FB friends will ...
