to think the mainstream use of the word 'bitches' is quite repulsive

I was cycling down the road today in a nice area and a car stopped in front had to wait for me to pass in order to fully open his door. He was on the phone at the time and said "i gotta wait for da bitch to pass"
Coincidentally today I also heard a friend say in a jovial manner that she was going shopping with 'ma bitches' today. BTW she is a school teacher!

I know this is sometimes said in jest but I find it repugnant especially when women refer jokingly to other women as 'ma bitches'

The origins of the insults - other peoples feelings/opinions - that life's not just a larf innit Hmm

we are fully aware of the origins of the insults. and there's no need to imagine, when taking in a closed group of people, that a bunch of third parties who would be offended (and probably for the wrong reasons) are listening.

it isn't ignorance to have a different opinion.
