I'm totally fed up of people moaning about feeling ill with colds. Thats life. Get on with it. (not directed at any mn'ers, just folk in general)

I have discovered how to get warm - go out in the real cold - once I came back in the house was toasty warm.

Someone was on here with a thread titled something like 'oh god, I wish I were dead, has anyone survived this?' about the flu. I'm in the middle of cancer treatment and I just honestly thought 'fuck the fuck off!' when I read that. Sorry to those feeling a really, disgustingly rough. But please, keep perspective people!

I want a cold. But only if it's a really bad one. Otherwise you just struggle on feeling like shit and not stopping. I want to give myself permission to lie in bed and let it all go.

But I realise it's totally unreasonable to wish for this. Last time I got so sick I wanted to die. But just now it sounds quite inviting.

I think whinging about having a cold is something we learn to do as we get older.

DD (aged 3 1/2/)has had a nose running like liquid sprouts for week and it doesn't get HER down.
