lol at the thin veneer of compassion and tolerance.

WHERE leq has this every been utlisised by you on a thread? Come on, you are lovely, but compassionate tolerance aint your forte Grin

QueenGigantaurofMnet · 29/11/2010 12:37

I think I'm far less tactful in rl actually.

On here I have to at least pretend to consider what it is I am saying in an effort to remain polite.

Blardy love MN. Would have put money on the first response being Fuck Off Grin

kaylasmum · 29/11/2010 12:41

i agree with the op, it seems that some people just like being antagonistic. Its like being back in the playground! Whats wrong with being civil? I'm no prude but some people just go too far. I also can't stand the use of the c word and especially if its a woman using it.

GetOrfMoiLand · 29/11/2010 12:43

Oh I see. Sorry I misunderstood your post.

Christ LeQ you got me quite worried there, thought you were going to start going all soft on us, and start being understanding towards the slow and/or stupid.

Glad that's not the case Grin

QueenGigantaurofMnet · 29/11/2010 12:45

Why?
I could understand you disliking the use of foul language but why is it worse if a woman uses it?

Gigantaur, that'll be a very very thin veneer then

kaylasmum · 29/11/2010 13:03

the reason i dislike it even more if a woman uses it is because its a horrible reference to a part of a womans body and i just find it disgusting to hear a woman use that word. I'm sure i'm not the only one who feels this way.

Ineedsomesleep · 29/11/2010 13:11

Well you won't be the only one on Netmums, that's for sure.

GetOrfMoiLand · 29/11/2010 13:17

Now, I would never in a month of sundays use the c word in real life.

But I bandy it about freely on here. Tis liberating.

Cunt.

See? Grin

kaylasmum · 29/11/2010 13:27

well i dont go on netmums. I've been posting on mn for the past 6 years, i've no problem with mn at all and i do agree with straight talking but dont think there's any excuse for being rude and nasty.

BitOfFun · 29/11/2010 13:30

When people are being proper twits and starting threads just to be nasty, they usually get deleted anyway. Then they can start another one saying "Why was my thread deleted?" and get to do it all over again. But you can hide and ignore them, and most people are lovely.

I haven't got the energy for sustained bickering most days.

GabbyLoggon · 29/11/2010 13:30

If you have no real grasp of the language, then you tend to pot brief and vulgar.s

Like someone suffering from car rage.,

Perhaps the school system lets many children down by not giving the pupils a good grasp of English

How did I miss this thread?
I take it the OP has had her nose put out of joint elsewhere under her regular name.
Wonder who it can be.

I only post to make nasty AND cynical comments. Let's be accurate.

SpringHeeledJack · 29/11/2010 13:39

thesecondcoming pleeeeease don't namechange

when I first read it, I assumed it was because of the Stone Roses

soon after I just assumed it was a manifestation of your If You Don't Like It, Then Fuck Off Out Of It persona

[not being snide merely fawning a bit emoticon]

daftpunk · 29/11/2010 13:40

The op is obviously one of those pendant people - hence the use of txt spk in her thread title - just to throw us off the scent.

Come on come on - who are you?

MummyBerryJuice · 29/11/2010 13:45

Look, there is no limit to the number of characters you can use in your thread title. Typing r instead of are is just plain lazy.

theevildead2 · 29/11/2010 13:49

YANBU,

But I like the people who are posting that yabu whilst being horrible to you..

I don't think it is the majority at all but the problem might be that there a few prolific posters who can be quite nasty and tilt the scales a bit just because they post so often,
