for a long weekend away, which saves you hiring a car, that you'd fill the tank (or mostly fill it) with fuel before returning it?

Offers ChippingIn a lift...

Not even going to think of charging petrol money.

Tummy, you know, don't you. You know this is not about the petrol.

FWIW, if you are lending a friend/BF then as long as it's back on time, in good order, clean/tidy and has the same amount of petrol it has when they took it, then all well and good.

What must have gone though his mind? Ah I'll suck up to Tummy and borrow her car so I can go off and f&ck the bint????

Ok so perhaps his mind (the one between his ears)was out of action, but FFS, he has seriously taken the piss.

Does he wear condoms? Do you need to go to get tested?

Delete his number Tummy, don't you dare call that arsewipe again. The next time you are scrabbling to try and find the number to call him, read your threads and know that we will hunt you down and give you a slap long hard lecture.

You are worth so much more than this.

Oh yeah and Towatessa, you can borrow my car anytime you like... Merc A class, 1.6, AC, LWB, nice little mover and loads of space it needs a clean Grin

I got tested - all clear unless the nurse belatedly calls me this week.

Am deleting the numbers as we speak type.

Yup, I hadn't done it Blush

Actually, you know, if it was a good friend of mine, I wouldn't really have been that bothered about the fuel. Maybe my intuition was telling me that he was taking the piss in one way or another.

Whatever it takes Tummy, whatever it takes.

Just get shot of him from your life and don't look back.

Hope you did delete his numbers, and e-mails too, and block him on any social sites.
In answer to your original question, a person is obligated to return it the same way they borrowed it.
Next time, let them rent a car, if it is in an accident, it is never the same, even if repaired. (That is what my fil says anyways).

YABU to expect the tank full, I would expect the same as it started with. But it really doesn't matter in this context. What a shitbag!
