Isn't it just a portion control thing? Or are they actual Evil Doers?

I think people ar egetting a bit confused as to what a supposed 'bad carb' is.
GI, slow3 release carbs, as taught on a diabetic DAFNE course are fab.
Brown bread. I grew up on Jacket potatoes and baked beans.
If you ate this, you would never get a blood sugar dip, that some posters are refering to.
I think I am pretty well entitled to think that I know more than most about blood sugars dipping.
I had a CGMS monitor, 2 weeks ago, that took a blood sugar reading every 13 minutes, for 7 days.
Stabilising my blood sugars and avoiding 'dips' is the main focus of my life.

Nooka I don't starve myself. I simply listen to my body and don't eat til I'm hungry. I agree we all eat too much. I don't get why people want to increase their metabolism so they can eat more! Confused.
