Bluey- it's to intimidate fluffy-wuffy huggy-huns from hugging the wrong person. There are some here who object in any circumstances to even cyber hugs.

Hugs are the gateway drug of MN. You think they're harmless and just give you the warm fuzzies, but sooner or later you'll be writing in text speak, referring to your unborn child as 'bubs' and walking on all fours.

Anyone tries to cyberhug me and I'll snap their nipples off. However, I'll always accept a a glass of wine (as long as it's not rose) and a thrown quiche.

I offer a hug when I feel it is appropriate, but I am not indiscriminate with them, and certainly won't be offering them to anyone I don't 'know'.
