To not want to hunt for this mouse in case it rips my throat out?

I know it's in here. I can hear it. But I am a great big scaredy wuss and can't bring myself to start pushing boxes about in an attempt to flush it out and clobber it.
In case it, you know, attacks...

I hate the thought of mice in my house as well and we definately have more than one as we caught one the other day and there is still evidence of them being around. Set a trap with melted chocolate on when you can. :-(

.the last thing you need is a cat. We get the daily delivery of mouse - usually dead (kidney in between my toes the other morning but often alive.
It will die soon enough, probably. Then you'll have fun finding it before you can't bear the smell any longer...

Peanut butter is good for traps.

Mouse or rat it will be looking for food and shelter. Store food in strong plastic or metal containers & keep cupboard doors shut tight. Empty bins & clean up so no crumbs (a few crisps down the back of the sofa and cookie crumbs will be enough food) to feed mice. They have soft skeletons and can get through holes the width of a pencil, so make sure exterior holes are filled and put mesh over air bricks to stop them getting in. If you do try mousetraps, mice prefer sweet things such as chocolate and peanut butter. More advice on how to get rid of mice on rentokil site. Good luck getting rid of them.:)

I am phobic about mice (and boy, have we had our fair share of them) so it heartens me to know that hard as nails SGB is scared of them too.

Humane traps are rubbish. They just come straight back in!Be careful with poison too, because if they stink when they rot especially rats
