to complain becuase Santa's Elves look more like hookers?

I have just been shopping and inside our local shopping centre, Santa's Grotto has opened for business...

Whilst paying for something I noticed that Santa's Elves were dressed somewhat inappropriately - think low cut tight top and hot pants - at this point the girl had no tights on - later I saw they had dark tights on.

I texted my best friend asking if she had seen the Grotto yet and she replied saying they looked like hookers last year and she wasn't surprised!

Seriously though surely a Grotto is aimed at children under 10 and I think it's totally unacceptable to have "sexy elves" at the entrance.

I would not bring my son here now (he is only 2 though so a bit young anyway) and I don't think this is setting a good example to young girls.

AIBU to have written an email to the shopping centre asking why the Elves were dressed like this? Or do I have too much time on my hands and need to get a life

Tell you what, why don't you ask the shopping centre to even things up - how about a sexy young body building Santa with bulging thighs for the Mummys? ("I saw Mummy kissing Saanta Claus...")

Ah now I didn't see the Santa so I cannot comment on his outfit

I got a reply from the manager of the shopping centre!

She says that when I saw the Elf without tights she must have been on her way to start work which the obviously cannot control.

The elves are supposed to wear red leggings under the hot pants outfit and they will be reminding them of this.

Apparently 2 of the Elves have young children themselves and that several people have commented how nice they look.

They will be considoring a different uniform for next year.

Amazed the shopping centre replied to my email TBH - it was a woman who replied so fair play to her for taking comments on board! We'll see if anything changes next year [PDR watches pig fly past the window...]

pinkthechaffinch, I too get annoyed with sexy witches at halloween (not actual witches you understand, just people playing dress up, unless there's an actual sexy witches coven near me that I don't know about)

I saw sexy santa's helpers one year. I thought it inappropriate. Many dads were chipper though.
