I wouldn't want a battered and fried one but they are great microwaved. All warm and gooey!

mm I shared one with DH. It was lovely. Not something I'd eat often, but I'm glad I tried it.

Bellagio - yes it is sort of similar except the mock chop is only shaped like a chop. god knows what is in it.
a buster is chips and peas together.

I've had a battered mars bar, a milky way and a creme egg {proud} Bloody lovely.

Sauce on chips in unnatural. Salt and vinegar is the only acceptable topping.

Oldladyknowsnothing- you now have me drooling at the thought of chippy sauce! You can make it yourself by adding HP to vinegar but it's never quite the same!

LetThereBeRock, I would have totally agreed with you until I met Edinburgh chippy brown sauce. That's just another experience.

Bellagio, I'm lucky enough that DS1 (grownup) was through in Edinburgh recently, and brought me back the Genuine Article. I have tried so many combinations of brown sauce and vinegar, can never get it right.

They used to do deep fried Mars bars by my school in Liverpool. They are delicious!

Climbs back into bed for an extra kip and to dream about deep fried heaven mars bars!

I was in Edinbugh for the Fringe and got pestered. I was quite self righteous saying ' no it's ok boys I won't bother' but ended up 'sharing' theirs! (i.e. half from each of them = a whole one for me!!)

I had one. It was lovely, but left a film of fat in my mouth that lasted all day.

lol upahill - they sound so revolting, but then when I saw them tucking in I just couldn't resisit.

Am off up to Edinburgh in 2 weeks - might have to buy myself a whole one
