when MN gets mentioned in the national press(and it does) it is always the rudeness and vulagarity of some posters which is highlighted.

Mumsnet deserves better than the footie crowd pining for the next match

Oh I so love a bit of rudeness and vulgarity on a Saturday night, haven't had enough of it since dd came along.

I don't know if Mumsnet cares.

Sure there is an element that isn't to everybody's taste but it is a very thin veneer.

Strangers performing extraordinary acts of kindness to each other, friendships made, laughing and crying together through the ups and downs that life throws in our paths. You can find anything on here and if you are looking for the next match, you'll find it, but if you are looking for compassion, humanity and support it weighs in far more fruitfully.

And the opportunity to be educated by MN should be passed through the generations....
