And how many others do you think are doing it ?

OP posts:
Blatherskite · 14/11/2010 21:05

There are loads of Dads on here. There is a section called "Dadsnet" but they are by no means limited to just posting on there - they can, do and are welcome to post anywhere on Mumsnet. It's just a name not a membership rule! Mumsnet is for parents by parents

Not that even that is totally true. There are many women on here who aren't Mums - I even know of one Non-Dad - who post here regularly.

YANBU to post here when you are a Dad but maybe a little bit U to b e potentially misleading people.

Well...just behave, la. either..put your poster name to indicate you are a bloke..or...put a profile up, which then gets underlined so people can click on it and read that you are a bloke, a la me.

and yes nannynick is a bloke without children but works as a nursery nurse.

Pan · 14/11/2010 21:14

and no, Liverpool cannot expect to beat Stoke. Or even Stoke reserves.Grin

sethstarkaddersmum · 14/11/2010 21:16

ooh I never knew NannyNick was a bloke.

I love the fact that AdelaOfBlois is a bloke but has a woman's name. Given how many women here use men's names it seems only right Smile

BelleDameSansMerci · 14/11/2010 21:16

I didn't know men drank Baileys...

GrendelsMum · 14/11/2010 21:16

You could change your name to ManWithABan [helpful]

Blatherskite · 14/11/2010 21:16

Forgot Nannynick! 2 non dads then :)

MeowyChristmasEveryone · 14/11/2010 21:17

MumNWLondon

What about the people who would like to be or are waiting to be parents but not yet?!?! Are they welcome in your Parents Only Mumsnet?!?!

Pan · 14/11/2010 21:18

I adore Baileys - even have the homemade recipe!!

Blatherskite · 14/11/2010 21:19

I am currently drinking Hazelnut Baileys. My recommendation? Stick to the original stuff.

PaWithABra · 14/11/2010 21:20

i have a new gender reassigned nickname,

hence forth i shall answer to the name of PaWithABra...

thanks for for being so understanding

Flisspaps · 14/11/2010 21:24

You're not my DH are you? Hmm

PaWithABra · 14/11/2010 21:32

I am not yet understanding all these abreviatons.
Do you think it is unreasonable for people to be bothered to type out what they mean to say instead of making me guess?

I might be your Deadly Hero or even your Dreary hair, but i doubt it.

LoopyLoops · 14/11/2010 21:34

I like it.

LoopyLoops · 14/11/2010 21:34

Top of page, click on acronyms.

TheNextMrsDepp · 14/11/2010 21:40

I sometime wish my DH would join in the chat, but he can't get past the name Mumsnet and thinks all we do is discuss nappies, breastfeeding and the general shortcomings of the opposite sex (well he's got one thing right).
