It makes me sick. There is a woman at work that says this ALL of the time in a 'i'm so cute and girlie' way. Then there are the people who use the phrase on Facebook to inadvertently brag about holidays. Three more sleeps till my luxury cruise. Awful.

See, this is why FB and Twitter are so evil. If you heard someone say "3 more sleeps until your birthday" to a child you wouldn't be upset (presuming not?). How often would you hear that outside your family anyway?

But as a way to show off online and be all twee and childlike it is kind of annoying, I do see that. Delete all other people and just tweet and FB away to yourselves, it's the only way.

I have a work colleague who starts an x sleeps until Christmas chart on the first day back after Christmas each year, it is always at least a few days out by the time we get round to December making it totally and utterly pointless.
