Just break it.

RandyRussian · 01/11/2010 19:47

Do you have many things in your house which only you are allowed to use??

God, what a way to live Shock

RandyRussian · 01/11/2010 19:48

Yes YABVU!

springlamb · 01/11/2010 19:51

No no ladies, I feel the OP's pain.
My DH regularly places used teabags on my Seaworld Florida spoon rest thus obscuring the dolphin's face. I pick them up with a teaspoon and catapult them onto his bald head. It's looking quite tanned now.
Mind you, when my sister comes into my house she says 'look at the state of that effing thing, when did you last wash the effing teaspoon, get shot of it for god's sake'. She's not one for knick-knacks.

DirtyMartiniOfDoom · 01/11/2010 19:55

Snorbs, there's a comedy sketch in there somewhere.

Btw, my iPod predicitve thingy wants to change your nn to 'Amoeba' Hmm

ForMashGetSmash · 01/11/2010 20:04

My Mum squeezes used teabags out and SLAPS them onto my work surface! By the end of her visit there is a little PILE of them!

Schroeder · 01/11/2010 20:13

We use those little ramekins you get with naughty puddings.

DH never empties them though, I come home from work everything is cleared away, dishwasher is on. (I know I shouldn't moan)

Then I look round and there is the stupid ramekin with about 6 soggy teabags in it and 3 teaspoons sticking out(DH is tea fiend has a giant mug and uses 2 extra strong teabags at a time!)

WTF Why clear everything else and leave that out?Confused

Don't get me started on the little tray that collects grease for the george formby grillGrin

springlamb · 01/11/2010 20:18

Do you think it could be possible to lay out used teabags along the windowsill and grow cress and sprouting beans in them. That might be...fun.

BollocksToThis · 01/11/2010 20:22

Ooh I hate used teabags lying around. MIL comes to stay and leaves them on the clean side of the sink of all places, when the bin is only another 2 feet away. Irks m enormously so I have to pick them up, all cold and squishy, and bin them.

It's the little things that drive people to murder you know ... Wink

wodalingpengwin · 01/11/2010 20:23

YABU. Your dh is using a teabag bin for it's correct purpose and it stops tea being dripped across to the bin. I use an old ramekin dish for the same purpose, though admittedly our compost caddy is further away than a foot.

BubsMaw · 01/11/2010 20:30

YABU, if you put hot teabags in the bin then it gets full of condensation. I covet your teabag thingie, mine get dumped into the dirty washing up before binning [slattern is me].

nellieisstilltired · 01/11/2010 20:31

yanbu at all.

Mind you at least he uses it for its purpose. dh just ignores mine (which I am happy to be used) and dumps the teabags in the sink. 2inches away from the compost caddy. grr.

Dylan44 · 01/11/2010 21:01

YABU I trained my hubby to use one of these as he kept dripping tea across the kitchen when putting the used tea bag in the bin!

cumfy · 01/11/2010 21:03

OP and nellieisstilltired, just swap ?

ditavonteesed · 02/11/2010 07:37

dh's, is yours good looking nellie.
randyrussian there are several things in the house that only I am allowed to use, the hoover, the pans, the washing machine (only joking but as sahm I do most of that stuff).
mind you it would be handy if ever you wanted a handy eye mask, one there and ready on the kitchen side.

My DH bought the one we use it's shaped like a fish and is actually a soap dish for the bathroom, but he liked it.

Its nice but doesn't go with the kitchen colours at all but he sulked when I wanted to get a new one .
