My boy who i spent weeks getting to stop in bed (after waking me up 2-3 times in the middle of the night) til 6.30-7pm is now back to waking at 5am thanks to the friggin clocks, newborn will be here in 4 weeks too which = no sleep. I never realised how much dh snores til now either so we've been sat waiting for cbeebies to come on and now are watching bob the builder.......

Yup, YANBU my children both get up early and now it'll be even earlier for the next month until it sorts itself out. They also get up during the night and wake each other up.

My DH is a selfish git who stays up late so won't help me in the early morning which he says he will do all the time. And he snores.

To those of us who suffer from sleep deprivation the clock change is a proper bugger.

Georgimama · 31/10/2010 06:25

We are in a premier inn at this moment. DS woke at 4.45am (new time) as he usually does wake just before 6am. I managed to persuade him to go back to sleep and DH is snoring. When he wakes up he will find all the little pots of UHT milk gone - no cup of coffee in bed for him. Oh well.

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 31/10/2010 06:27

We just let the DCs stay up an hour or so later, and they are still in bed - it's fantastic :o

pinkyp · 31/10/2010 06:29

Thank god its not just me. Soooo does anyone have any tips of coping with so little sleep without wanting to bite everyones head off that they come into contact with?

DS was up late for him (Hallowe'en event at the Black Country Museum) or there's no way he would have gone back to sleep.

Tips? Tea. And refuse to engage in conversation before 9am.

pinkyp · 31/10/2010 06:32

Ds has been having sleep problems anyway, wether he goes t0 bed at 7pm or 10pm he gets up at the same time. He normally goes at 7 but i did send him a bit later 'just incase' it'd actually work for a change and he's sleep longer but nope.

tell me about it ds has been up since 4am (new time) and i am dieing already. Now he will want a nap at 10am instead of 11am and bedtime will be 7pm instead of 8pm i hate this it has taken me until a couple of weeks ago to settle him from the last clock change

lucky1979 · 31/10/2010 06:38

Another one up since 5 - poor DD looked so pleased to see me as well :( How do you explain this to a 1 year old?

My DS and DH have just woken up. I managed to eat the last walnut whip first though.

Conflugenglugen · 31/10/2010 06:46

Up at 4.25 am. I just knew it would happen. DH only came to bed at four, so we change 'shifts' at ten. And I have an article to write, so I can't use my time to sleep. Shite.

ditavonteesed · 31/10/2010 06:47

yep kept dd's up till 8pm which is an hour later than normal, they were up at 5.20 new time, I have told them it is very uinlikely we will now be going trick or treasting with their cousin at 6.30 tonight as I can't actually see them being awake and they have school and nursery tomorrow.

oncemoreintothebreach · 31/10/2010 06:48

I'm really confused as to what time it is now... Can someone enlighten me? Blush

pinkyp · 31/10/2010 06:49

pinkyp and barrister you have my sympathies ;(
DS used to be the same, pretty much whenever he went to bed he'd be up some time between 5 and half past. I don't know if it's because the mornings are darker or just as he's getting older but he's sleeping much better. They both went to bed at about 9 or half past last night and have just woken up at 6.30, which is perfect.

pinkyp · 31/10/2010 06:58

ds 'used' to sleep to 8-9pm...i'm sure he use to be quieter too Hmm
