I thoroughly enjoy Antiques Roadshow.

I like hot ribena

I have slippers.

I wear cardigans

I get words wrong (pictureshop not photoshop)

I want to join the WI

I'd rather turn up the heat and knit in my pyjamas than go to the pub.

[when did that happen?

I had a bunion about 2 years ago - I was 29!

Love R4 too!

PortoFangO · 24/10/2010 22:02

Dd has a cough. After her bath tonight I rubbed her chest generously with Calrub. I love the smell of it so much I have snuggled up and bored her to tears with my Vicks reminiscences. Vicks and Lily of the Valley remind me of my childhood and my mum. Gorgeous Grin

hate predictive text
insist on apostrophes when texting
LOVE Michael Buble (but so does hot chick 17 year old dd so what does that prove, huh?)

HEXentricaGallumbits · 24/10/2010 22:06

I think that Britain is going to the dogs.
I worship at the altar of Radio 4.
I'm a member of a choir.

I'm 35.

PortoFangO · 24/10/2010 22:12

Ooh a hot water bottle! We used to have an electric blanket but it died. I so miss it at this time of year.

Eaglebird · 24/10/2010 22:12

I've just had a mug of Horlicks.
I wear slippers & cardigans, and am considering renting an allotment.

I also dream of living next door to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, except I don't want to move to Dorset (or wherever he lives) and I don't want to shag him - I fantasise of him knocking on my door with a cake or plate of scones or a pan of broth.

I'm off to bed soon to do my nightly Brain Training on the DS. When I first got it, I though having a brain-age of 80 meant I was dead clever Blush.
My brain is currently 3 years older than me, and that's the best score I can manage.

TheBolter · 24/10/2010 22:12

Oh, and I HATE current eighties-style fashion and refuse to shop at TopShop until this moment has passed. By then I will probably be 53.

HEXentricaGallumbits · 24/10/2010 22:13

it's past my bedtime so i'm off to bed. with bottle and assorted cats.

TheBolter · 24/10/2010 22:14

I listen to Enya while in private and dream of cashmere bed socks and fisherman's sweaters in mustard yellow.

TheBolter · 24/10/2010 22:15

Oh yes, and I prefer cats to other people's children.

pintyblud · 24/10/2010 22:18

I still do not like, and never will like, antiques roadshow.

I like a hot toddy, not hot ribena.

I quite like my slipper socks.

I wear neat fitting cardis, not those big boyfriend monstrosities.

I don't get words wrong but I say completely the wrong thing without realising it until a member of my family crows and points a finger at me.

I love baking but I would not join the WI.

If I was guaranteed a good seat and a good group of folk and if I didn't have work the next day, I'd choose the pub.

jaffacake2 · 24/10/2010 22:18

I talk to the cats and they talk back.

Get obsessed with my hand bag and take it to bedroom at night, plus laptop, mobile phone and anything that I think a burglar may want.

pintyblud · 24/10/2010 22:18

I have tried to like radio 4 but I still do not like it.

BelligerentGhoul · 24/10/2010 22:19

I think that listening to Enya really is the beginning of the end, you know.

PortoFangO · 24/10/2010 22:19

I actually like sherry!

And my idea of a good time is a nice long lunch followed by a snooze on the sofa.

pintyblud · 24/10/2010 22:20

I do consider what object I will grab to hit an intruder over the head with. My current objet de choix is the dull old rolling pin. That says a lot about what I have amassed over the years to put in my house.

Quattrocento · 24/10/2010 22:20

I prefer haemorrhoids to other people's children. Or in fact amoebic dysentery. I've experienced all three and definitely Other People's Children are the worst.

Sidge · 24/10/2010 22:20

I've just got back from bingo.

I wear bedsocks and pyjamas.

I went to a wine bar last Friday and thought it was drafty and noisy and I couldn't wait to get home for a cup of tea.

pintyblud · 24/10/2010 22:21

I like a sweet sherry but I love lots of port during the mionth around Christmas time.

PortoFangO · 24/10/2010 22:23

No, no. Sherry should be dry and cold, spanish stylee. Now Port - with cheese and hovis biscuits....mmmmmm!

pintyblud · 24/10/2010 22:23

ah, goo dpoint porto. I do now choose to go out for a boozy lunch and then occasionally carry on drinking and chatting until tea time. I don't do a lot of nights out any more.
