I thoroughly enjoy Antiques Roadshow.

I like hot ribena

I have slippers.

I wear cardigans

I get words wrong (pictureshop not photoshop)

I want to join the WI

I'd rather turn up the heat and knit in my pyjamas than go to the pub.

[when did that happen?

lol -I can relate to the slippers and cardigans in particular.

Also re:getting words wrong, I couldn't work out why my search for a specific mobile phone wasn't throwing up any results. Then DP pointed out that its Vodafone not Vodaphone. All this new-fangled spelling malarkey confuses me Confused

Hmm I also seem to have problems grasping technology. I thought you could bold individual letters? Confused

nickytwotimes · 24/10/2010 20:29

listening to the archers in the bath - beat that for decreptitude.

HEXentricaGallumbits · 24/10/2010 20:29

Everything including the grey pubes and vag dryness.

Also, I have to get my nine year old to work Sky Plus and the VD player for me.

reptile · 24/10/2010 20:32

YES I do the pictureshop/photoshop thing!

Plus I can't see the point of Russell Brand at all.

I like being old (well, middle aged) as far less winds me up. When I look back at what used to upset me I'm amazed.

HEXentricaGallumbits · 24/10/2010 20:36

i look at my old toys on ebay Blush

Doodlez · 24/10/2010 20:39

I've also started to keep a mental note of my bowel movements and find myself slightly concerned if anything....erm....irregular occurs BlushShock

I'm 43.

brokeoven · 24/10/2010 20:39

need to wear reading glasses to read text messages...then cant find reading glasses, when i do, i cant find my phone. Gaaahhhh!

Music nowadays is just noise!

Make a funny noise when i stand up.

Grey hairs utterly GLOW on my head...only 1 or 2 at the moment but they are so bright.

Celery · 24/10/2010 20:40

I am a member of the WI, and I have grey pubes. sigh. I'm only 35.

childrenofthecornsilk · 24/10/2010 20:44

I am not admitting to grey pubes

GeekyGirl · 24/10/2010 20:45

I am learning how to crochet: I feel slightly sick with excitement before my class.

Doodlez · 24/10/2010 20:48

Oh and another thing - I think I have a tash.......I'm gonna scare the horse soon Sad

And you know that thing your parents did when they started to say something and then

KurriKurri · 24/10/2010 20:50

hot ribena - tick
big comfy pants - tick
WI - tick

hot flushes

beard

peering at the TV over my glasses with a bemused expression

Rocking back and forward several times to get off the sofa, and saying humphhh very loudly when I manage it.

PortoFangO · 24/10/2010 20:54

I looked in mirror on holiday - extra bright Tuscan sunlight vs Belgian gloom - and shouted with shock that I have a moustache. DH says "I know". Bastard. And he is older than me.

PortoFangO · 24/10/2010 20:56

And I am coming back to Blighty next month - I am dead excited about going to buy big knickers in M&S and having fish and chips. And going to look at the 3 for 2 offers in Sainsburys!

pointythings · 24/10/2010 20:57

Big pants - yes (never seen the point of thongs - in the days when I needed to avoide VPL I just didn't wear any Grin.
Hot Ribena - can't stand Ribena, but does hot other squash count?
Grey pubes - Pubes still glossy dark brown, hair on head very, very grey and I'm only 42.
Not getting Russell Brand or a lot of other so-called comedy - yep, though I do like the Armstrong and Miller Show.
Modern music - firmly stuck in the 80s so tick that one too.

But I don't mind being old. It means I get away with not having to be a yummy mummy.

PortoFangO · 24/10/2010 20:58

And I have been considering Buxton as a holiday destination. Someone please shoot me now!
