Seriously. All day, can't stop. I never have the tv on in the day but I can't seem to tear myself away from it and it's just so emotional.

You big softie Grin

(could you be pregnant?)

NotActuallyAMum · 13/10/2010 13:03

I'd be the same, glad I'm at work! DH is on afternoons, he was almost in tears when I phoned him at morning break, he too said it's very emotional

If I'm pregnant I'll be in the divorce courts, DH has had the snip Grin

EauRouge · 13/10/2010 13:04

YANBU. I just switched it on to see number 10 being rescued and I did well up when he was reunited with his wife. I will be watching the next few at least.

Disclaimer- am 21 weeks pregnant.

BlingLoving · 13/10/2010 13:05

I am pregnant and had to stop flicking through the pictures on the Times website. I was welling up at my desk. Too embarassing.

MarmiteMakesMeHappy · 13/10/2010 13:15

Agree totally. And I am definitely not pregnant. I do have a bit of PMT though - does that count? Hmm

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 13/10/2010 13:20

Oh, it's made me all weepy too. Such lovely scenes.

Definitely not pregnant either, no womb anymoreWink

proudnscary · 13/10/2010 13:21

You soppy date! It's wonderful though.

anastasiak · 13/10/2010 13:22

I agree - its such a cliche but its just so unusual and lovely to see a positive news story for a change!!

FindingMyMojo · 13/10/2010 13:27

It's so lovely isn't it. I feel ridiculously happy today after watching the news this morning. Wishing them all slow yogic breathing for their journeys up. It's going to be a bit tense until they are all out.

TheOldestCat · 13/10/2010 13:29

YANBU.

sniff sniff.

WhoAteAgentZigzagsBrain · 13/10/2010 13:30

It is nice to see a story nearly at a happy ending, and that they're making a lot of it.

Diziet · 13/10/2010 13:33

YANBU at all!! I've deliberately avoided the TV but have kept an Eye on t'internet, otherwise I would be a sobbing mess too Smile!! It just shows you've got Soul, love! XXXXX
And isn't it just GREAT to hear some GOOD NEWS for a change, eh??

iliketosleep · 13/10/2010 13:35

I read this thinking 'Ha! crying at the tele you plum" but after watching number 11 come out my eyes are stinging Blush He looks so fragile :( At least they are safe now :)

fastedwina · 13/10/2010 13:40

it's just fab, and I have tears in my eyes too. Great when we can all come together and wish these men and their families well. Maybe the world is not doomed yet!

taintedpaint · 13/10/2010 13:43

I stayed up until the first one was rescued (luckily I am not working today!) and turned the TV back on this morning (about six hours later). Now I can't stop watching. It's so touching and I've been so emotional the whole way through!

SlightlyJaded · 13/10/2010 14:25

Yay I thoguht I was being a bit of a drip.

Number 11 really got me!

YANBU. I sobbed when the oldest Miner (aged 63) came to the surface. I sobbed even more when they said he had been a Miner for 51 years since the age of 12!!

Wonderful stuff Smile

Tillyscoutsmum · 13/10/2010 15:04

The 63 year old got me as well (Mario Gomes ?). I was late picking dd up from pre-school because I couldn't tear myself away until I'd seen him reunited with his wife Blush

GMajor7 · 13/10/2010 15:05

YANBU. It's been captivating.

DD is cutting 6 gnashers simultaneously and therefore woke me at 3.30 am this morning...the upside of which was that I was able to watch the first miner emerge live on TV.

lorelilee · 13/10/2010 15:13

I agree, it's brilliant that they have finally reached them. However, I keep wondering how they decided what order they were going to be rescued in - does anyone know?

LouMacca · 13/10/2010 16:06

lorelilee - I think they agreed the order between themselves and the rescue workers. It was agreed that the men who were more mentally affected and/or had health problems were to go first.

I know that the Miner in charge said he would go last because he wanted to see all his men safely out

potplant · 13/10/2010 16:11

I think they sent out some of the more 'robust' miners in the first batch to make sure it would all go OK and reassure some of the others.

I had a little sniffle when I saw one of the younger ones being reunited with his Dad.

JoBettany · 13/10/2010 16:12

YANBU. I posted on another thread about this. I was crying non stop this morning, went out about 11 and am now back in crying again.

I feel ridiculous but am so moved by the miners and their families and the amazing dedication of the people who have worked together to bring about the rescue.

GhastlyandUgly · 13/10/2010 16:17

Made me cry too.

FakePlasticTrees · 13/10/2010 16:38

I've been sobbing too.
