DH says I am really strange. Am I? Or are there fellow strange ones?

I just admitted to DH that I really rather like the sound of sirens in the distance and find the way the sound rises and falls quite satisfying, even soothing. Is this really so strange? He says it is.

Obviously when they are ear-shattering they're horrible but far away it's quite reassuring noise, isn't it?

Or am I mad?

I feel your pain esti!..sometimes it can be so intense..a weird pressure feeling..

I don't hear them at all!

I lived for the last 15 years in an area with lots of sirens at all times of the day, and now I block them out, without even realising I'm doing it.

There were lots of sirens outside the other day (in our new, very quiet area). I didn't even notice until everyone else started talking about them!

esti1 that's interesting.

lowrib - I don't hear them if they're at a particular angle to me. I suspect I don't actually hear all the frequencies, which is why I don't mind the sound that others find so annoying!

esti - that's what sisters are for I guess, but not so funny when you're getting migraines out of it! Sounds horrible. Sad
