proudnglad · 07/10/2010 19:20

The good news: I love your nickname

The bad news: You might as well have injected half a litre of fat straight into your arse

naturalbaby · 07/10/2010 19:36

ew ew ew ew ew ew ew!
i don't get it

missmiss · 07/10/2010 19:45

I would.

Embarrassing meat-fat related story: last weekend, I went to dinner at a rather nice restaurant (Olivo's in Guildford, I highly recommend it) with my boyfriend's family. My boyfriend, his mother and I all ordered the same main course - pork, which came with a generous slab of fat attached. At the end of the meal, my boyfriend and his mother had a generous slab of fat still adorning their respective plates. Mine was scraped clean.

I was very tempted to ask for their fat, but the shame was too great Blush

SecretNutellaFix · 07/10/2010 19:54

I love roast chicken- I do try to make sure I get the lion's share of the skin when we have oneGrin

pigletmania · 07/10/2010 19:56

Ewwwwww yuck no!

SweetnessAndShite · 07/10/2010 20:12

Yes WW = Weight Watchers.

Feel a bit guilty now after proudnglad 's arse fat injecting comment! I can feel the jeans overspill already!

Ah well you could just switch to the Atkins diet for todday then and knock yourself out!

Chicken skin is gorgeous, ditto pork crackling and beef juices. MMMMM.

Tippychoocks · 07/10/2010 20:16

oh vom, that thread title is worse that the spot squeezing ones Grin. I will be hiding you all, you and your scary skin-eating ways.

KittyFoyle · 07/10/2010 20:19

It's the best bit - that and the little juicy 'oysters' underneath. Crispy fat is glorious.

You are my Most Envied Person of the Week for getting ALL the skin to yourself.
I like salmon skin if it's crispsy too. No wonder I'm so fat.

yummmmmmmmmmmmm, I'm jealous definitely the best bit!!!

Horton · 07/10/2010 20:22

Oooh, lovely. I wish I could have all the skin myself. Me and DD fight over it and it has to be scrupulously fairly divided. V pleased that DH doesn't like it, though. Dividing it three ways would be far too little each.

lorelilee · 07/10/2010 20:23

YUM - I LOVE chicken skin. And crackling (but not the actual pork). I am very jealous!

doitorelsa · 07/10/2010 20:29

Skin you guys, its skin. Like you have on yourself. EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW. All those words, 'crispy' 'fat' 'juicy'. Boak. It all feels a bit cannibalistic to me, even though I am not a chicken. Spot the veggie...

southeastastra · 07/10/2010 20:30

the entire skin is pretty revolting. you'll pile on the pounds as well

KittyFoyle · 07/10/2010 20:40

Doitorelsa - I love the crispy skin of baked spud too. I do look somewhat like a potato these days so you might have a point.

SweetnessAndShite · 07/10/2010 20:47

doitorelsa Yep, I know. Skin. Sorry but I'm the kind of person who burns themselves and gets hungry at the smell so I guess I must be a bit cannibalistic Wink

KittyFoyle Ooooh yes, baked potato skin! Yum! Very impressed to be your most envied person of the week!

Grin

My friend (on a diet most of the time) came to stay and I'd saved a little bit of crackling for myself. Came into the kitchen to wash up and she'd bloody well got it half way down her throat. No wonder she was so keen to clear the plates. We've been through a lot together but years of love nearly caved in that evening.

chilipepper27 · 07/10/2010 20:50

Fresh out the oven with a spinkling of salt mmmmmmm my dh thinks I'm disgusting I'm just glad he hates it

Horton · 07/10/2010 20:51

Well, piling on the pounds depends on what else you're eating and what your metabolism's like. I always eat chicken skin and so does DD and we are both pretty skinny.

I can't stand the breast meat! I hate the texture and it's really tasteless. I only like the dark meat and the skin.

sickoftheholidays · 07/10/2010 21:27

yum yum yum. YASOOOOONBU. One of the only times my OH and I argue is over the skin on the chicken.
