I absolutely cannot stand this!

For example when people say 'am so excited'

It's appalling English and bugs the utter crap out of me!

Hard luck, tippy. We have a day's holiday tomorrow. Marverllarse

DirtyMartini · 19/09/2010 22:09

Yes, I think so. Breasts = the full glorious effect. Rightness.

Have just been googling Peter and the Wolf = a simple tale, yet effective. I'm thinking we need a simple yet effective feminist fable of some sort to illustrate the linguistic pitfalls that surround the discussion of breasts in different circumstances. Maybe one already exists?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 19/09/2010 22:11

am ROARING at you pointy

bicycle horn

har har har

embonpointe: cor anglais

(see, cor anglais makes me think of creme anglaise)

Habbibu · 19/09/2010 22:12

Too bloody right you overshared, BALD...

pointydog · 19/09/2010 22:13

bristols could be a couple of cheeky piccolos

DirtyMartini · 19/09/2010 22:15

Could "Humps", as in "My Humps", be an electronic sample of the Black Eyed Peas being lined up against a wall and shot?

pointydog · 19/09/2010 22:17

lol

Itsonme · 19/09/2010 22:36

I think I'll rename you all to Mrs havenoreallives

I hope mumsnet are proud to have such supportive (sad) members.

Thank you for apologising Tippy, it must be hard to admit you're wrong (although you just jumped on Mrs ohsoclevers bandwagon and tried to make it look like you knew all the big words that she knew too)

Did you always live in the shadows of the smart kids as a child? It must be so hard still doing that as an adult :( Although you did say you have school in the morning, so you must still be a child, which would make much more sense...... Trawling through old posts etc

I'll choose a fitting name for you too, let me think. Mrs wishesIwasascleverasmrsohsoclever?

Ok, fair enough. Night all.

DirtyMartini · 19/09/2010 23:05

Goodness, op, what on earth brought you back -- I thought you were so satisfied when you left, and so uninterested in all of us? Thread moved on happily after that, and so must you. Put away your crack spoon and get some sleep.

Night Habs and all. I'll hear a bicycle horn now whenever funbags are mentioned.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 19/09/2010 23:08

arf

Itsonme · 20/09/2010 06:55

I was just curious to see if you all really did have anything better to do, sadly you didn't :(

Tippychoocks · 20/09/2010 08:01

Itsonme, at what point in your delusional world did I apologise? Why on earth would I apologise to you? Have you noticed that you're stil, em, WRONG???

You come across as deeply unpleasant and frankly with major ishoos - you may want to work on that.

Tippychoocks · 20/09/2010 08:04

still . My typing Hmm

gorionine · 20/09/2010 08:05

I never heard anyone saying "am"instead of "I'm". Could it be they speak to fast for you or that they have an accent?

pointydog · 20/09/2010 22:18

thanks for that bald Grin

@Tracie0ne ffs, thanks for making me waste time reading an old thread. Where the heck did you drag this up from?

user53782991 · 07/12/2021 01:18

@Itsonme not everyone’s first language is English so I don’t see the issue. How many languages do you speak/write with impeccable grammar just out of interest?

ClaudiaJ1 · 07/12/2021 01:22

It's just a shorter version of saying "I am so excited".

So they leave off the 'I'.

ClaudiaJ1 · 07/12/2021 01:39

Yikes, I see now it's a zombie thread. Sorry.

5YearsLeft · 07/12/2021 01:59

I mean, it IS pretty funny.

This zombie thread was resurrected after 11 years so we could all read how OP was a bit of an arse 11 years ago, by someone today sharing how they were a bit of an arse to their roommate 11 years later about the same topic. (I) Am glad to see the Christmas spirit alive and well.

Trinacham · 07/12/2021 06:44

It's just that they're missing out the 'I'. Doesn't really annoy me.

Butchyrestingface · 07/12/2021 07:15

Am wondering if the OP is any less unhinged obnoxious nearly a dozen years on.
