I love S&S too - and hear hear JimJammun. I am secretly lusting after MM - in fact I have been stalking him as a theatregoer for a couple of years now.
I like KK, but know I am in the minority there.

Yes, yes, yes to MM!!! Different to Colin Firth but equally swoon worthy

Ciaran Hinds in Persuasion is fantastic - best Austen book imo and this is also the best adaptation of them all.

I really liked Emma T in S&S, despite the fact she was too old. Her acting in it is so moving.

Thingumybob Sutherluand in the KK P&P is fantastic - the scene at teh end of the film where he has just spoken to Lizzy is wonderful. I actually really like that adaptation - KK is not such a pouting twat as she is normally.

Billie Piper as Fanny price - what a travesty.

Music from KK P&P is good

My SIL used to live near KK (near Blair's home in London)
and so see her round the street all the time.

We now refer to KK as BJP because SIL used to say that she was like a hooker on Blow Job Patrol with the pouting she used to do!

S&S was mostly filmed (house bits) at Hartland Abbey up t'road from me in North Devon and the house is available as a holiday let. Lovely private bay and much fabulous fantasy fodder .
I do love it but you cannot beat Colin Firth in P&P. The KK version has many wrongnesses, the cringeworthy end bit springs to mind

Sense and Sensibility is the very best film ever made. It even makes Marianne bearable, which Jane Austen couldn't.

Becoming Jane is a pretty great costume drama purely on the James McAvoy/Anne Hathaway chemistry. Knocks the spots off Keira Knightley

Actually seeker I think you will find Alan is MINE . Can't wait for final Harry Potters when he redeems himself.
