I saw a picture of a man with long nails - so long they extended past the end of the fingertips. Not talons but long enough. It gave me the shivers.

AIBU to detest long nails on a man? Even if they're clean? (Even worse IMO as implies they've deliberately grown them. Urgh)

It's like men with long hair. Straggly, uncut and unkempt is eurch... but well groomed, flowing locks is a bit... hmmmm.

I can't bear long painted claws on a woman, it just looks so tarty to me. Especially when they are so long that they impair the functioning of the hand properly.
Nails to the end of the finger, and neatly kept are fine, whatever the sex.
But then an ex of mine played flamenco guitar, wore black leather and had long hair. Yum.

YANBU! When I met my ex, it just looked as if he hadn't gotten round to clipping them for a little while, but it turned out that he insisted on having them even longer. He was also adamant that he didn't smell when he didn't shower for days I now don't do facial or long hair on men as a result.

My DP has lovely nails, the aren't properly long, but they aren't as short as possible. They are always filed and painted. (Currently turquoise and black) I find nail varnish on men incredibly sexy.

They are not horrible - I don't like nor dislike them... are they supposed to represent something?

For me, my name is Kat, and I like cats, therefore cat paw prints. They were originally going to be based on prints from my old cat's paws, but she died before I got around to it :(
