I saw a picture of a man with long nails - so long they extended past the end of the fingertips. Not talons but long enough. It gave me the shivers.

AIBU to detest long nails on a man? Even if they're clean? (Even worse IMO as implies they've deliberately grown them. Urgh)

There is a man Ive seen a few times where I live who I think thinks he is some sort of vampire man, he has long black hair dresses in black leather and his nails are really long and filed into points like claws....

No, you ANBY - long haired men are just vile, as are feminime hands on a man, cannot abide it. But then I cant stand hairy hands either, or pudgy hands, or sweaty hands. My DP's hands are purrrfect!

I used to have a regular client who had really long fairy-tale-monster-style nails. And obvious yellow-head spots. And who smelt. I spent a lot of time trying not to think about all of these facts...

YANBU - it makes my flesh crawl! Someone who works with me has long, thick nails and he also wears a smelly old anorak type thing with a greasy collar - vile!

I'm no great fan of long nails on women either actually. Unless very clean and aggressively healthy-looking.

I was thinking about the sexism angle - yes of course men are as entitled as women to have long nails, but in the same way that I'd think if I saw a man in a skirt, I think with a touch of boak if I see a man with long nails.

YANBU - really grim. I noticed my friend's husband had long (long for a man) manicured nailed the other day and I wondered why the hell he would have that 'look'. TBH I don't much like them on a woman, either. I think if you can see your nails when you hold the back of your hand up they are too long, and for a man - well go shorter than that!

Quite Minnie. I also find it odd when men have shaped eyebrows for example. Seems to be a current trend amongst footballers these days.
