to think Mumsnet shouldn't have animated adverts?

Don't know about you, but it really hurts my eyes when I'm trying to read the threads and the adverts on the right hand side are flashing.

Am I being unreasonable in thinking they should think of our eyesight and have static images instead?

Hi all, sorry about the flashing ads - they are very popular with advertisers, as they do tend to generate a better click through rate. Of course we are very happy for you to block them if you're epileptic - do let [email protected] know if you're having trouble with this.

On a wider note we are thinking about offering a Mumsnet ad free version in which you could pay an annual fee to see the site with no display ads - would that appeal to folks?
