Several times i've suspected parcelforce of just putting the card through the door without even bringing the parcel, but this is just taking the absolute piss!!!!

No attempt whatsoever to deliver the parcel.

They POSTED the card in an envelope to us to say the parcel was waiting for us to collect at the Post Office. Posted as in not through the door, but in the mail.

I've had to go down and collect what turned out to be a really heavy parcel with the baby in the pram and struggle with it back to the car as the post office in on the main street and not easy to park near.

i am absolutely raging!!!!!

Depends on who has your round.

Where i used to live it was really frequent. Three times I opened hte door and spoke to the post man immediately after he'd stuck a you were out note through the door and he said "oh its at the office we didnt think you'd be in so didnt bring it out".

My new postman is great though. If I'm not in he tries the neighbours and has even been known to pop back later in the day if he does not get me first time

They all do this. I make a point of typing LEAVE IN PORCH PLS! on everything but if they need a signature they don't ever ring the bell. I am so fed up with having to get them to redeliver and then it happening all over again. I AM IN THE SODDING HOUSE, AT LEAST KNOCK ON THE DOOR FFS!

Our postie is fab. He knows we work shifts so if he sees the curtains shut he takes the parcel to our neighbours opposite who he knows we are friends with so he doesn't wake us. If they are not home he puts things out the back and leaves a note telling us where it is - with loads of detail like 'parcel in back garden behind the rake'

I know this is an old thread but...
We had a card put through our door. Fair enough we were out. It said available to collect from the Sorting Office the next day. I made a special trip, paid to park in the car park as there are yellow lines outside, went and queued Hmm to be seen . The man took my card looked in the book looked around the shelves, looked in the book again. He said it wasn't in the book, and that the driver must be trying to re-deliver it!!! I went straight home, and ,sure enough, the parcel was delivered 5 minutes before I got home!

I was furious. What is the point of "carding" someone to tell them their parcel needs picking up,and then re-deliver anyway???
