Can you soak it without the neighbour seeing? If so go for it!

Otherwise clapping your hands and hissing whilst running at it will chase it off. Can you put a motion sensor sprinkler in the area it usually uses?

I have a cat and would be fine with you using a water spray to encourage her out of your garden but a super soaker is a lot of water spray for a cat that will be like 4-5kg.

Use a smaller gentler spray but otherwise go for it. Be warned tho you don't know what it might be replaced by. Our cat is currently indoors due to injury and it turns out her poos in the garden were probably the only thing keeping the foxes out.... theirs is WAY worse and gets left right in the middle of the lawn.

Water is fine and I have 2 cats

A family with two small children moved in next door to us, (we have cats). First time I spoke to them I told them to do this.
Water won’t hurt the cats but will keep them away

Our neighbour gave us a water gun in case this happened. Absolutely fine to do and a few squirts on the bum and they leg it.

May I suggest a Tippmann TiPX as a solution to your problem...

I love cats, had two who were litter trained.

I do it! Water don't harm them! MY old neighbour's cats used our garden as toilet, I am glad they were long gone, our kids werent able to use our own garden!
