To wonder where the hell is my shopping and/or money?

pissedrightoff · 11/07/2010 20:17

Last night I checked my bank account online, £105.00 is the balance. Fine, I'll do an online shop at asda to arrive tomorrow.
Total shopping comes to £80.76.

Shopping does not arrive today and when I call to enquire why, I am told that there were insufficent funds in my account.

I then check online balance,£24.24 suggesting that between last night and now £80.76 has been debited.
Phoned bank to make enquiries and indeed Asda have taken the amount and bank gave me the authorisation number.I ask if it is possible that it is a pending payment, bank says no, as it has come off the balance then the payment has went through.

Phone Asda back, not helpful in the slightest, They say that they have not recieved the money, I tell them I have an authorisation code from my bank and an available balance which says otherwise. They say they will look into it and call me back at midday tomorrow.

So I now have only £24,Very little food, live in the back of beyond so no shops, will have to take two buses to a tesco tomorrow to see how far my £24 will stretch for baby food, milk and wipes.

Where is my money if it's not in my bank and Asda say they don't have it????

And that is from a poster on there called 'mothballs wallet'

Honestly with the exception of rhubarb, not a lot of sense being made over there.

I have considered signing up and defending myself but don't feel there is anything to be gained by it.

As for having savings to fall back on I usually do (until the end of the month when they are usually used up by something or other)

I'd say 'panty raids' in this manner are very, very poor Netiquette.
The OP on MSE was to drum up support for a just cause not to invite trollery over here.

I am hoping the moderation team at MSE are aware of their members' conduct and that perhaps a reminder on adult behaviour could be issued.

catinthehat2 · 13/07/2010 20:18

I think the MSE moderator was a bit late (see post below). Bad show from the little gang involved. I think the clusterfuck thanking each other for each post is quite interesting - I would think one or two of those are Studiously Avoided by the normal MSE posters. Pretty sure they are MSE Royalty (fnarr), partic Foggster.

pissedrightoff · 13/07/2010 20:31

Think you are right CITH2, but it's 'mothballs wallet' who has got my back up.

A parenting license?? So am I the only parent that is just finishing maternity leave after dealing with income being halved for almost a year?

Am i the only parent who ends up using their savings EVERY month?

Welcome Carla. Welcome.

RedArsedBaboon · 13/07/2010 20:33

And not forgetting your 'tyke'

RedArsedBaboon · 13/07/2010 20:35

Is this now on twitter then? I don't understand twitter

Welcome

SagacityNell · 13/07/2010 20:35

Welcome to the nuthouse CarKeys

Here is your Hard Hat (you will need that on some threads), your popcorn (for Friday Night "specials") and your troll spray

Fontella · 13/07/2010 20:36

The one whose got my back up is Foggster. I could think of a more appropriate name that starts with F and ends with 'er' and it don't have 'oggst' in the middle.

What a supercilious tw*t.

Welcome carkeyz89.

pissedrightoff · 13/07/2010 20:36

Oh of course my ''TYKE''

Stooping so low as to insult my child, how very classy.

So did you get the fags and what ever ace is

MisSalLaneous · 13/07/2010 20:37

Hi Carla.

WingsTHEangel · 13/07/2010 20:40

Welcome Carkeyz Enjoy

Fontella · 13/07/2010 20:40

God help anyone going on there asking for financial advice is all I can say.

I've been doubly shocked today. Firstly by the behaviour of Asda in this whole sorry business, and secondly by the behaviour of a bunch of holier-than-thou t*ssers on a so called financial help forum.

catinthehat2 · 13/07/2010 20:41

I'm very taken aback by the weird attitude of those few posters - it really isn't MSE style at all from what I've seen. MSE posters are more like Carkeyz. Really weird.

I've just posted this directed at the mod:

"Alias - Hi! lurker here - and it's nice to see one of the usual friendly faces on MSE.

I think many of the MNetters jumping to this thread for the first time are going to get a skewed view of the site, which is pretty unfortunate. It's also going to be embarassing for the longstanding posters on this thread who are going to get rather more scrutiny than they are used to. There has been rather a lot of trashing and name calling here about somene who is not really in a position to reply.

For the sake of good order, are you in a position to delete the thread, which doesn't show MSE in its usual good light at all? Bear in mind also that someone claiming to be a poster from here has been making some fairly nasty trolling attempts during the afternoon.

Thanks & kind regards

Catinthehat

MmeLindt · 13/07/2010 20:43

Sad to see that this has descended into name calling and insults. Please, MNetters, do not rise to their mouldy bait.

Glad though that we have lured the lovely CarKeys over to the darkside. Welcome.

caramelwaffle · 13/07/2010 20:46

Och. The website does have some good/useful advice on it Fontella, but I have never wondered in to their forum section - until now. That'll remain a closed door from now on. Too much like HousePriceCrash misogynistic tosspot crapola.

NeedCoffee · 13/07/2010 20:47

I use both forums and be assured I have reported the abusive posts, I may also be in trouble for libel apparantly

Glad Asda finally delivered PRO and hope they attempt to redeem themselves themselves by giving you lots of goodies.

I wish that Morrisons delivered

Would also like to mention that it is only a few posters that are being arses on MSE, I actually stopped coming on MN much as I thought their was too much nastiness and MSE was a lot friendlier but as with most forums, there are always a few that like to cause trouble.
