excema cure

My daughter had really bad excema from about 4 months to 1 - 1.5 years. It disappeared overnight with this treatment.

We were in utter despair, for ourselves,
(no sleep, anxiety, peoples awful comments)and the poor babys suffering. We tried lots of things, as you do.

Miracle cure worked within a week. Basically you get curry leaves. You can get them from any asian grocery shop. They came in a big plastic packet. Boil a good handful in a big pot. Let it cool.

After bathing your child. Stand them up and from a clean bucket poor this liquid over them. It should be the last thing your child is rinsed in.

Dry them thoroughly and apply usual moisturiser. I used aveeno.

This worked in a week. He had perfect skin. The person who told me had a little boy with the WORST excema . He is a totally different boy, really beautiful skin.

Recently I heard its an ancient ayurvedic cure. All I know is it helped us and several other people.

I really hope this helps others with excema. Would love to know if it works for anyone else.

Pacita · 10/06/2009 10:33

Well, I for one have a baby with eczema and will be keeping an eye on this thread... Thanks for the OP for bothering to post.

TheShipsCat · 10/06/2009 10:56

I am going to try it - nothing else works. Thanks for posting.

VelvetCushions · 10/06/2009 11:30

I heard that there is a Dr Luo in Chinatown who can has done remarkable work with children with excema. I heard about her on a radio 4 programme and I met a woman who went to see her after her excema flared up quite badly and had good results.

Argh give up but copying and pasting first one will work, I think.

nightcat · 10/06/2009 12:26

That was a good article Velvet!

As an aside, I have come across a few families who are not interested in any cures because if they receive DLA as well as carer's allowance/s, it's not in their interest.

roneef · 10/06/2009 13:05

You're welcome everyone.

Not 100% sure they are diferent things js1000.

nightcat.

That definitely explains some of the negativity!!!

I really hope it works kaytee

yeah, I is gettin lots of benefits

chegirl · 10/06/2009 17:34

I am really glad this has offered some relief for some of you and your children - really (NOT in a sarky tone)

But I am a bit with the cure thing. Atoptic exzema isnt curable. Its not a disease, its an allergy.

So it will not help all of us. There are really good reasons for some of us to be a bit cynical. I am all for people trying whatever they want within reason. In some cases, certain types of eczema can be soothed and the skin given a chance to recover itself. Then the eczema doesnt have a chance to get hold again.

I am very tired of being told oats, leaves, lard, vaseline, a good hard smack will cure my son's condition.

It happens a LOT.

Kayteee · 10/06/2009 17:54

A smack???

chegirl · 10/06/2009 18:44

Yep.

Because 'he only scratches for attention. A good hard smack would sort that out'

indeed.

roneef · 10/06/2009 20:10

Chegirl - I will say it again. Too many people play word games on mumsnet.

I'm not debating cure/atopic etc.

This worked for me, after a lot of suffering so I thought I would help others.

Nightcats DLA theories are seeming increasingly, depressingly realistic.

You have not even attempted to try it yet.

Being tired of endless treatments doesn't mean you should give up.

OP posts:
chegirl · 10/06/2009 20:14

I missed that about DLA.

I get DLA for my son. Do you think 17quid a week means that much to me?

Fucking hell I have heard it all now.

roneef · 10/06/2009 20:19

I don't know you and frankly do not give a fuck.

some people would kill for it though.

I really didn't realise people can claim DLA for excema or even carers allowance.

I didn't claim. I was too busy looking after my uncomfortable DC to be thinking about making money off it.

OP posts:
roneef · 10/06/2009 20:21

I think even if I knew at the time I probably wouldn't.

I don't see it as a disability as such. Especially as it is soo common in under 5's.

Unfortunately

OP posts:
twinmam · 10/06/2009 20:21

Are you really suggesting that people - including Chegirl - are allowing their DCs to suffer in order to get DLA. Really?

twinmam · 10/06/2009 20:22

Mind you, she isn't rubbing curry leaves on him .... tantamount to child abuse, I'd think.

roneef · 10/06/2009 20:23

No, not at all.

Nightcat did.

I honestly never knew. Still
