What's the best alternative for baking? Oat milk? Rice milk? I'm trying to make savory muffins :-) x

Those "wot no dairy" pots are the grossest df thing I've ever eaten. They sell them in holland and Barrett and whole foods though.
I have the tescos finest oat bread too.

Broccoli and tahini/sesame seeds seem to be the calcium vegan winners.

Not sure if sesame seeds are nuts though?

Have scoured the shelves for a dfsf sausage, I think she'd love toad in the hole!! All are either dairyified or soya, annoying being veggie as all the quorn options are now out.. Maybe vegetables in batter will do

Possibly to do with amount - DS3 is very sensitive even to traces of soy, soy lecithin is out too.

I thought the 'Wot no dairy' yoghurts were soy based?

Never been abroad, at least not since doing GF for DS1, so not in the last 6 years...

Will have a nosy at the wot no dairy dessert pots again, if they are soy free that would be a bonus!

Tahini is out for DS3 because all the ones I've found have nut warnings on the packs.

I do sprinkle sesame seeds into stir fry though.

Not sausages, but the goodlife bean burgers are dfsf. But might be too spicy for a small child... And def wouldn't work in a toad in the hole! I think most falafel are dfsf? That might work in a toad?

Wot no dairy is pea protein or vomit based I think.

I think it depends where you're going abroad. Some countries cuisine is naturally fairly df. We went to Bali and I could eat most things and i think the same is true of most far east type places. Places like france are bad as lots of things are in a sauce. And elsewhere I just stick with plain meat/ veg/ rice type things but I'd imagine it would be v difficult if veggy too. I would go somewhere self catering I think.

Yes pea protein

I have been making little falafels/lentil burgers I hadn't thought of putting them in batter, ooh interesting thought!

Apparently sesame seeds in mash potato is good Smile

I'll stick tahini on my list next time in in Asda then! Tesco one has a nut warning.

DS3 doesn't seem to mind vomit pea protein based food - he scoffs soy free Cheezly like there's no tomorrow.

I'm guessing it's because it's all he's ever known...

But it might mean that I have more success with these Wot no dairy desserts!

Vomit was meant to be vomit crossed out - not sure why that's suddenly not working on the App.

How do you do crossed out?

I'm trying to concoct a dfsf cheesecake probably with cocunut milk, I do love the stuff! (might need gelatine though to set - sadly not veggie) if it all fails I'll have a nice icecream cake though Smile

To do the crossing out, you type -- then your word or sentence, but without the spaces, then close it off with the same.

So vomit crossed out would be vomit

Should turn out like this : vomit

DS3 had my jar of marshmallow fluff out if the cupboard. I didn't take it away as I knew it was dfsf...

He made a hell of a sticky mess, but he was as happy as a pig in mud!

I'm sure there is a veggie gelatine. Dr Oetker maybe??
