100 Day AF challenge

Morning all.

Would anyone like to join me in a 100 day challenge? I did one afew years back, and since then my drinking has crept up and up and in lockdown has gone mad. I'd like to do another challenge, with the aim of continuining on, but 100 days will do for starters.

I am also hopoing to lose weight, but mainly I am sick of feeling this way (and I am SO grumpy!)

This thread seems to have died

For what it's worth, I'm still on the wagon. Both my (adult) kids are away for the weekend and I've had a lovely time, pottering around, doing my own thing. Went to the farm shop earlier and made a huge pot of veggie soup when I got home - absolutely delicious. Done a few bits and bobs of DIY, redid my hanging baskets for the autumn and now I'm just chillingwith the candles on and listening to music.
All alcohol free. I haven't missed it at all, but I think it's because I'm so relaxed and chilled out. I tend to fancy a drink when I'm stressed out or have had a bad day.

So no complacency here, because I know how easy it is to fall off that wagon ...

I'm still off the booze, day 17, feeling somewhat better but now have a cold.
That first week was really tough, I felt so awful. I never realised alcohol takes so long to leave your body. But last week was OK, I exercised 4 times, ate reasonably well and even lost some weight.

I'm definitely going to stick to the 30 days at least, maybe more. My relationship with alcohol was getting really bad, I like having a drink but drinking 2 bottles of wine a day is just bloody ridiculous so I'm proud of myself for stopping that.

Well done 41 stars.

I can do two bottles of wine easily but not every day. My binges would be once or twice a week. I wish I could be that person that has a lovely glass of wine with dinner, and then put the lid back on, but sadly once that bottle is open it gets drunk.

So best not to open the bottle.

In recent days I've proved to myself that I am absolutely fine without booze - happy even, so why I do it, I really don't know. Do any of us know really?

I'm still here! 21 days, sleeping so well. Eating too much though.

Hello.
Is anyone up for resurrecting this group from 1 January for another 100 day AF challenge? My drinking has been creeeping up and up and I feel absolutely dreadful now. I didn't drink for 78 days last year and felt amazing. I want to do even more of that in 2022 as I clearly can't moderate and it's my crutch.
Anyone want to join me?!?!
