oh my god i watched that show.
that presnent thing was HORRENDOUS
and how boring for the kids

monkeytrousers · 20/05/2009 19:26

God she comes across as such a vicious bitter person. He comes out of it with mildly more credibility than her, though neither are covered in glory

clam · 23/05/2009 14:38

Can't believe I'm posting this but......

I've always had time for Peter Andre, not least because of the way he adores those kids (particularly the cute Junior, unlike her, who hardly seems aware of his existence), and also because I thought he was in it for love. He has always come across as a nice bloke - bit of an arse, but basically a nice bloke.

However, I was really shocked to finally see that snippet of "the row" in that LA shop. His behaviour was VILE. He was being very rude to the sales guy, and winding Katie up when, actually, all she was trying to do was make polite small-talk with the guy. He was pulling faces behind their backs, making snide comments to the camera under his breath, all of which she was clearly trying to ignore. And then, when she finally snapped, he went bananas. I thought it was interesting that the assistant Nicola was heard to say, "Pete, don't do this in front of the cameras" and KP responding to the effect that it would be good for people to see what he was really like.

made me wonder whether she's taken too much of the blame for being foul.

I saw

I couldn't believe what she did to her own son with that snail on their show last week.

The little boy, Junior, (who I agree she doesn't appear to have a great deal of time for) was chatting away happily (like 3 year olds do) to two snails on a wall as Pete was just about to take him off to nursery. Pete was engaging with him and chatting to him about the snails etc and telling him he'd see them when he got home etc and off they went. Later on in the show, the scene cut back to Junior arriving home from nursery, this time with his mother. The snails were still where theyd bee when he left and he went back to them and started chatting to them again. Jordan went up to them and put one of them in her mouth. She took it straight out again and put it back on the wall but obviously by that time the snail had gone back into its shell. Well, the little boy was rendered totally speechless and rooted to the spot, rigid, visibly shaking and looking absolutely horrified - he then went almost hysterical. She just stood and looked at him laughing and finally managed to say something like "don't be stupid Junior I wouldn't eat your snail". At no point did she go to comfort him, apologise or do anything to reassure him that everything was OK.

I was totally shocked by the total lack of empathy the woman showed for her own child and the utter lack of sensitivity with which she handled his reaction to what she'd done.

I thought this spoke volumes about the woman's character and nature and if I'd been Pete watching how that woman reacted to his son I'd think that was reason alone to get shot of her.

I've seen nothing of the woman on her carefully stage-managed show that endears me to her in the least. She comes across as a hard nosed, crude, nasty piece of work and he's well shot of her.

She's not fit to lick his boots.

clam · 23/05/2009 16:39

I agree, Gunnerbean. That clip was spine-chilling in its harshness. Especially when, after he ran indoors crying, she shrugged her shoulders and said "whatever." Although she did apologise to him in the kitchen afterwards. Too late, though. The damage had been done. He'll remember that for life.

Gunnerbean · 23/05/2009 19:04

Yes Clam and did you notice that eve though she gave him an apology she asked him to give her a kiss and he still did, teh poor little lad. There seemed to be no real warmth, sincerity or love coming out of that woman towards her own child.

As you say, he'll no doubt remember that for the rest of his life.

And what's with bleaching his hair too?

And what about when she was getting the little girl, Princess to parrot back to her "it's all about me". She thinks that sort of thing is funny - the poor kid has more than enough to contend with in like having her as a mother as an accident of birth without being socialised to be a self obsessed, self absorbed brat too.

The woman really doesn't have a clue and seems to have no real maternal instincts either - unlike their father who seems to be a great, natural dad. I would hope for their sakes Pete does get full custody of them and she only gets access on his terms.

shhhh · 23/05/2009 19:09

forget last weeks episode..this weeks was also bad...The vile language she used to pete in front of his parents.
Just shows how crude and how little she respects others...

In fact,I kind of got the impression that pete's brother and his gf/dw don't think much of her...when on the UFO trip and vegas they didn't appear to have much to say to her and didn't seem v friendly iykwim..

Saw todays sun, feel sorry for pete really. She is meant to be using fiona shackleton as her divorce lawyer...Bit sad that he requested the pre nup YET she is doing her upmost to ensure he gets v little. Think she is also going to be a bitch over custody/access to the dk's..(well she's shown that already by sodding off to the maldives with their kids.)

Gunnerbean · 23/05/2009 19:45

What's shocking about Jordan's programme is that she (through the vehicle of her management team) clearly have a huge part in deciding what footage actually gets aired for the cosumption of the viewing puplic. So ultimately she is in control of how the public perceive her.

I find it quite staggering that that's the way she actually contrives to be perceived.

She clearly doesn't share many of the inherently natural characterists of a normal human being - to want to be liked and approved of by others.

I actually think to want to be preceived in that way says that she's a deeply misanthropic individual.

minko · 26/05/2009 08:58

The more I see of that horse riding coach chappy, the more I think the papers might be right. He is improbably good looking. And if you felt your relationship was on the wane, he'd definitely prove a distraction. She looks all simpering in pics with him too.

bigchris · 26/05/2009 09:00

he's gay though?

minko · 26/05/2009 11:35

No, that's the dressage rider one she was frolicking with in the pub. I'm talking about the horse trainer. Here

clam · 26/05/2009 11:58

Gunnerbean, did you ever see that clip in a previous series (Oh God, just realising how sad I'm sounding!), just before she had Princess (and that name alone is surely tantamount to child-abuse), where she said to Pete, "For God's sake, Pete, just give me a kid that looks like me and I might bond with it!"
No doubt she'd pass that off as a joke if ever challenged on it, but just think about the sentiment behind it. I just pray that Junior never watches all this back when he's old enough to understand.

BalloonSlayer · 26/05/2009 12:46

KP has got a funny sort of "milk moustache" in the first picture in that article. Wonder why...?

minko · 26/05/2009 16:18

Eeeuuuw, what ARE you suggesting!?

shhhh · 26/05/2009 20:44

lol at milk moosh...
She has such an odd mouth/tash thing going on...
Bit of a trout pout if you ask me....
