What?!!! The Iron Lady had an afternoon nap? My world is in tatters.

BabyBaby123 · 30/09/2008 12:56

omg - this woman does my head in = she thought she was amzing for making purees etc in an interview i read. She had a kid, she works - so what???

arfishy · 30/09/2008 13:08

I might be being a bit naive here, but isn't the press just printing what she might have said in shock a couple of months after giving birth?

Just because her job is in the media doesn't mean to say that she doesn't have the same experiences as the rest of us with a new baby.

Oblomov · 30/09/2008 13:09

No excuses. Tired ? Cut down on work commitments. Is it because she is pea brained that she can't work this out ?

arfishy · 30/09/2008 13:09

naiive

mosschops30 · 30/09/2008 13:12

I think youre all being a bit mean. Im tired (exhausted in fact), I 'choose' to work, doesnt mean I should give it up and stay at home.
Why do you all have to be so nasty?

bundle · 30/09/2008 13:13

I think more people would have sympathy for Klass if she didn't turn up to the opening of an envelope

Oliveoil · 30/09/2008 13:16

good lord

this is a mean thread

leave the woman alone you moany old hags

NotCod · 30/09/2008 13:17

this makes ME fell tired

BabyBaby123 · 30/09/2008 13:20

but mosschops = i bet you don't constantly harp on about it though as though you are the only woman who's ever given birth and then gone back to work! It's the way she comes across in interviews, it's all 'me,me,me' there's no recognition of the fact that plenty of other mothers do the same thing every single day with a lot less benefits than she has - money, fame etc

CatIsSleepy · 30/09/2008 13:27

maggie thatcher used to take an afternoon nap?

CatIsSleepy · 30/09/2008 13:29

you can't be mean about mylene
it's like kicking a fluffy kitten

Oblomov · 30/09/2008 13:32

mosschops , she CHOOSES to do loads of things - modelling, bring out new ranges, interviews.
It is not just going to work p/t.
She has the right to say yes or no to contracts.

hambo · 30/09/2008 13:36

I think there are alot of jealous people on this thread...a very ugly emotion.

bundle · 30/09/2008 13:58

I'm definitely not jealous of Mylene

BabyBaby123 · 30/09/2008 14:24

just because someone irritates you and you find them a complete pain in the arse, it does NOT mean you are jealous of them

jesuswhatnext · 30/09/2008 15:22

nice to see the 'support network' of mumsnet is alive and kicking

janinlondon · 30/09/2008 15:39

Gosh, if she doesn't do nannies, who was that young woman carrying her child and all the child's paraphenalia on and off flights across the USA recently.....?

umbungo · 02/10/2008 14:27

congrats to her, she has done well.

BUT i have myleene-klass-fatigue. i'm tired of seeing and hearing her.

i have nothing against the woman. except she is on every tv show, magazine, advert. she is on everything all the time.

did i miss the memo, where she suddenly became the nations favourite tv presenter, model, celeb mum, musician, fashion expert, talk show guest, etc

i would like to see someone else get a look in on some presenting jobs.

( and yes, i know i can watch something else, and i do just change the channel when she comes on)

Beetroot · 02/10/2008 14:29

.

misshardbroom · 11/10/2008 10:30

much as there's part of me that wishes Myleene bloody would sod off and marry a lighthouse keeper, with her swishy hair and unfeasibly flat stomach, I am actually quite glad to hear someone in the public eye saying that babies are tiring and she's sleep deprived.

And while the whole 'conspiracy' thing is a bit melodramatic, there's a teeny weeny bit of truth in it... I remember my ante natal class reunion where we all sat round with brave faces on talking about how 'rewarding' we found our 3 week old PFBs!

Not like now, when the same girls & I (3rd babies each) bitch & moan and shout things like 'sit down and bloody WATCH Power Rangers or you won't get another Fruit Shoot'...

ilovemydog · 11/10/2008 10:46

Her baby would be over 2 years old... 4 hours sleep?
