Happy Halloween to those who celebrate 🪄👻

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, while the cats race around like tiny elephants! Dd2's not up yet but I expect she will be shortly - she usually follows me down.

Today's plan here is quite chill. We've got a few Halloween decorations to put out & then pumpkins to carve & sweets to retrieve from their hiding place.

I'll potter at some house bits as well, and dd has a single piece of holiday homework left to complete. Dd1 was out out last night, so won't be heard from for hours yet. She's out out tonight too, but needed to head to Oxford Street to collect an item for her costume that she's ordered.

Later on, lots of door answering, so an easy tea will be had, and I want to carry on with some festive crafting I've made a start on this week. We could do with looking at the tickets dd2 would like for her birthday too!

What about you? 🎃

Hello 👋

I am just venturing out for the first time after spending the past week on the sofa with some sort of virus.

Meeting friends and the park and then one of the kids has a sleepover. Will do a bit of trick or treating early this evening and then having pizza and watching a movie.

Hello!
A bit late to the party
Have a youngster home for an overnight so currently chilling in front of the football.
I’m doing a bit of crafting in the background.
We’ll pop out for a quick drink between matches and have a TV dinner, not sure yet what.
Enjoying a nice quiet day really.
We were big on Halloween when the kids were little but not currently in possession of the right age group!

@Simonjt I'd love to see the workers day set up - if it's not going to id anyone!

Have you even been to a wedding where the buffet wasn’t opened until 8pm, the guests are all drunk and eat like slobbering animals. Picture that but with dinner trays and chopsticks, and you’re pretty much there.

Have been to the gym, now basking in the sunshine with a smoothie. Off for a walk with friends in a bit. Trying to reduce my stress levels as life has been v stressful recently.

Name changed in case anyone knows me.

My husband and I are in New Orleans, one of the Halloween capitals of the world. It’s seriously like being on a movie set, it’s so beautiful here. We were actually in a parade yesterday that was going down the street followed by a brass band, being escorted by the Police.

As for today, it’s the culmination of the 3 night Halloween festivities we’ve been taking part in. The first night was the meet and greet at the House of Blues. The second night (last night) was Salon Noir (all black dress) at the House of Blues. Tonight is the Vampire Ball at the House of Blues. I’ll be in full costume, with a gorgeous dress from Hell Bunny. Really looking forward to it. We’ve met some lovely American people so we’re meeting them again tonight.

Hi all I’m a bit late to the party but happy Saturday!
Im in turkey lay on the bed after just having a shower the weather has not been great while we’ve been here (storms and a tornado!) but today has been nice so we have been on the beach all day. We are just getting ready to go down for dinner.

Sadly my afternoon went a bit Pete Tong! Mum rang to say she had a funny turn, bit wobbly and dizzy, so we canned our day out. She's 85 on Monday and had a fall and broke her arm 6 weeks ago. All a bit of a worry 😟

Ooof! Glad my son turned up as it’s been non stop since 5.20pm! It’s quieted down a bit now but at least 200 kids. Raiding my Tunnock tea cakes stash!
Day started with my leaving at 7.30 to meet my son off the ferry as trains not running out of Portsmouth but he missed it so edited an hour - no worries with MN to scroll through! Then he had to go out to lunch and matinee theatre with my sister visiting from abroad and I carved the pumpkins. Had about 30/40 visitors before they returned. Now waiting for last stragglers before taking the candle out of the jack o lantern and making an easy dinner. Only have about ten sweets left!
We will watch Dirk Gently which my sister just introduced me to, though I recommend Widow’s Bay if anyone wants a spooky show with a bit of comedy.

Started the day with Pilates, shower, wash and dry hair and breakfast of sausage, mushroom, hard boiled eggs, beetroot, onion and cheese then sorted some washing.
DS had been invited to a Halloween party from 12 so drove him there then the rest of us went to Morrisons for lunch. Lasagne in my case. Saw Morrisons are now doing a fish and chip afternoon tea, which someone nearby was having and looked fab.
Got a few bits of shopping then DH decided to go off to some model railway place on the bus; DD and I drove home, had an hour not doing much then took DD to work for 4.
Somehow found myself alone so did an hour and a half's overtime on the current big boring job that work have as time and a half at weekends.
Sorted more washing. Went to pick up DD for 9.30
So nothing much here, really!
