Happy Halloween to those who celebrate 🪄👻

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, while the cats race around like tiny elephants! Dd2's not up yet but I expect she will be shortly - she usually follows me down.

Today's plan here is quite chill. We've got a few Halloween decorations to put out & then pumpkins to carve & sweets to retrieve from their hiding place.

I'll potter at some house bits as well, and dd has a single piece of holiday homework left to complete. Dd1 was out out last night, so won't be heard from for hours yet. She's out out tonight too, but needed to head to Oxford Street to collect an item for her costume that she's ordered.

Later on, lots of door answering, so an easy tea will be had, and I want to carry on with some festive crafting I've made a start on this week. We could do with looking at the tickets dd2 would like for her birthday too!

Good morning lucysmam and others. I've had 2 coffees but no first breakfast as I'm shortly meeting my friend for breakfast and a chat. I have lost weight since I started the low carb diet. However most of it is off my bum, not my tum! I will keep going. After breakfast, I will take my pal home then do a little tidying up chez moi. Later I expect little guisers, including dgs 1 and 2. I have bags of sweets ready for those who call. Enjoy Halloween all, however you spend it

Siting in silence with a much needed coffee. Just dispatched DH with the DDs for their dance show later, the hair and make up was so stressful! Before I head over I need to do several loads of washing, tidy round and do a basic clean. But definitely quiet coffee first!

Morning all
Not long up and still tired, my sleep has been terrible this week. So much so I have made an appointment with my GP to see if anything can be done.
Bit of washing to do, and then going to town with my mum to buy her birthday present for Monday.
No plans for this evening, probably just a bit of tv, hiding any fireworks from the cat, and an early night.

We are creatures of habit and go to the local garden centre! I will be eating flat bread with avocado, halloumi, poached eggs and hot honey

Just had a cup of tea and toast in bed.
Getting ready to pop over to Bath with a ‘mystery guides’ treasure hunt booklet to do a tour of Bath looking for clues to complete it.
Says it should take three hours!
We’ll see…

Going to the supermarket, doing some chores...but this evening going to see Reese Shearsmith talk about his book Things I took from the dark - suitably spooky!

Just realised that as I won't be in this evening I'll miss any trick or treaters which means I'll have to eat all the chocolate I bought myself - damn!

We’ve had a lie-in, & then going to the cinema soon to see Wildwood with DC. Looks interesting. We’ve gone for a recliner showing so it’s more comfortable.
This afternoon we’ll carve our pumpkins & decorate before I take DC out trick’r’treating.

After a busy half term which is two weeks in my county with a bit added on at the start for illness I've come out alone for a much deserved Starbucks ginger bread latte and a over priced bit of cake. Silence is bliss.

Then to jump into the car and drive 120 miles north to go trick or treating with my uni mate and our kids. It's become tradition we do it together every year and I don't imagine there are many Halloweens left.

Our oldest has some friends over in a bit for their much nagged for Korean workers lunch day. The youngest is currently at dance with her Papa.

We have a halloween party later, we’re quite lucky as we have a flat in our open basement that we airbnb, so we’re doing the party there. Which also means we’ve slowly decorated all week and we don’t need to rush and tidy it tomorrow as we don’t have a booking next week. Well, friends are staying in it, but they don’t count 🤣

I'm sitting in my art gallery with spanish guitar music playing and a nice coffee. Got carried away and suddenly remembered I do have to actually open the front door to the great British public at 10:00!

Morning all. Just about to go for a walk to meet a friend for coffee. She's having a tough time tonight so I imagine it'll be a bit intense. Might do a bit of a shop browse on the way back home, leaving DH and Ds to prep for Halloween 🎃.
Groceries are being delivered later and I'll try to get a bit of housework / admin done. DH will take DS out guising for a bit and then they might go to a spooky maze thing. I'll stay in for guisers Spicy prawns in wraps for dinner or maybe pizza truck pizza. Then telly - on the hunt for a new autumnal crime series, pref foreign, if anyone has any suggestions! Good morning @lucysmam and everyone, it’s a grey, misty morning here, bigger dog and I had a very quiet early morning walk although there was a lot of birdsong, especially sparrows and starlings.
I have just finished cleaning the bathroom and bedrooms, changed the bed and the washing is on. I’m hoping I can get it dried outside 🤞🏻
DH has gone off to Lidl, best of luck with that on a Saturday morning 😬, I don’t have any idea what we’re having to eat today, it’ll be fridge and freezer dive in a minute. There is plenty of food, I just completely lack inspiration and enthusiasm for cooking.
So, besides the mundane stuff that always needs doing, I’m going to get on with knitting the second sock. DS, DDIL and the DGSs were here during the week and DDIL and Dgs1 have requested more socks. Luckily I enjoy knitting them 😁

Just watching Coronation Street whilst having a coffee and an almond croissant
Dh is upstairs sorting his wardrobe out
Dd has been home from uni this week for half term she’s working today then going to her boyfriend’s
Meeting a friend for a catch up soon
This afternoon need to do some jobs around home
Having steak with salad and jacket potato’s for tea then we are calling in at Dd’s boyfriend’s parents as they are having a Halloween party tonight

We’re just about to drop the dog with DM as we’re going to see a matinée in London. Then home to pick him up and await the trick or treaters who never come! I buy sweets every year just in case and then have to eat them all, what a shame.

Good morning lucysmam and to u all I’m having a cuppa in bed as we went to a Halloween party at friends last nite and feel quite rough this morning lol 😂. We are picking daughter no 1 and grandson up later and popping to Asda and the range then home to chill with a few wines and strictly . My son is 34 and autistic and he loves the Halloween strictly and likes getting me up to dance so that’s what we do bless him . Goin to put beef in slow cooker tonight as 4 out of 6 children plus grandchildren are coming for dinner tomorrow my husband loves a houseful . Have a great and safe day all 🫶

Good morning lucysmam and all, I've been trying to help dd finish her homework this morning, she has various send, but is still in mainstream and it is tough! However we are off to the shops to find some bits to finish her halloween costume and then I am going to do some jobs around the house. Tonight we are going to a friends halloween party - looking forward to it.

Just got back from an exercise class and having a coffee. Need to get a few things from the supermarket, so will walk down there soon. Watching a sport this afternoon which DH and I both enjoy. Burgers and sweet potatoe wedges with a glass of wine in front of Strictly later. Any spare time inbetween, I'll be reading as I'm avid reader.

Good afternoon @lucysmam & everyone. Keep getting cold symptoms which go again for a bit then return. Have ear ache as well today so feeling a bit sorry for myself. At least I haven’t got work as I’m on holiday. Haven’t done anything special with the week but it’s nice to be off & not clock watching. I woke fairly early & DH brought me a cuppa in bed. He’s working today. I’ve done bits & pieces, including taking 2 Vinted parcels to the PO & unloading/loading the dishwasher. Had a weird breakfast of cold curry & rice & have since eaten 3 mini Snickers. No lunch as I think my friends & I will have cake later - I’m going to an art exhibition where my friend has some of her work on show. There’s a cafe with outdoor seating & the weather is reasonable. DD17 has been blitzing her room & seems to have come to a standstill. The landing has disappeared under bags & boxes! Haven’t seen much of her yet. None of us are doing much for Halloween. DD & her GF are watching films remotely as they’re not able to see each other for a while. DH & I will watch Strictly & The Voice. Pasta, pesto & peas for tea. The bunnies will probably be inside for a while because of fireworks. There were a few last night but sounded quite a distance away. I have a gorgeous pair of sparkly heels to upload on Vinted so must photograph them. Sold a sequinned Pudsey t shirt last night after 10 mins. Have a great day all ❤️

Up and out early to drive to the next town along for my optician appointment. New glasses needed, so that's £500, thanks very much.
Had a little potter round the shops there, and then home. Now just having a chill and debating having a coffee.

Had a lovely lie in, then had scrambled eggs and toast for brunch.

Dropped off DD at her girlfriend's for Hallowe'en stuff.

DS is moaning about his history homework.

Dh is back to work tomorrow so it's a relaxing day. Will walk the dog.

Then Strictly and chill.

I love the idea of you and your son dancing. My 35 year old son is severely autistic amongst other things and sometimes I can have a wee dance with him. It’s beautiful. He’s like a wee boy quite often and no more so when I come home with the shopping and he’s in the bags to see what I bought. He’s always looking for sweeties, crisps and maybe a cake. He was in luck today and got two packets of yellow label scones from M&S today that he’ll put in his frezer and have one day with butter and jam till they’re finished. We have to watch his calories as medication he’s on means he’s prone to gaining weight which he really doesn’t like. He wants a six pack like his PT. I bake for the house but there something about the bought scones he loves - I think it’s how uniform they are.

On a different note I had a day out with my 16 year old granddaughter. We went to the mall, wandered round the shops and tried some clothes on before heading to Sephora and letting her have what she wanted. We do it twice a year and she helps me choose new things as well. After that we went for a very nice Lebanese lunch before heading home.

The rest of the day is feet up and some television.

Had a busy morning here. Work was getting done on the garden and big dog walk. Also writing or trying to write an essay.

Need to put some pumpkins outside for the guisers tonight. DS is going out guising later. DD and I are watching a movie and answering the door.

We have some chicken streaks from m and s for tea tonight. Just an easy tea here. I will be on and off the laptop tonight. I need to do 2000 words so thinking cap on.
