How old were you when hen you had your first baby and your last baby?

Curious to know answers! I feel like I was quite young in my area for my first - 30… then second was 33. Still wondering about a third but I’m so tired I don’t think I’ll have the energy to do it if I’m any older!

Quite a few with very large age gaps, just surprised!

I was 25 & 28

i think it was a bit too young and I should have lived a bit, had more time with DH just us etc. however now I’m in my 40’s and looks like perimenopause won’t hit until my DC are out of their teens so from looking at households where that is not the case it feels like a blessed relief!

25 and 35. Only 2 DC. I can highly recommend a 10 year gap!

26 when I had my first, and 29 when I had my second and last.

I was very done by that point. We had so many miscarriages that I stopped counting. Three which were late and two which required emergency surgery.

I was over the moon when ds was born, that I could finally stop.

I desperately wanted two dc, and after a consultant told us it was extremely unlikely we would have even one live birth, it became an obsession.

Looking back it was a torture entirely of my own making. And quite selfish really, I put myself at risk repeatedly when I should have been caring for dd. It was like being temporarily mad.

I've never felt such a strong drive for anything else.

19 - First and last

So no, you weren't a 'young' mum at 30. I had an 11 year old at 30

27 and 30 - perfect for me.

Sailed through both pregnancies (just the luck of the draw?)
Both kids have now left home and I'm not seeing the menopause yet so haven't had any issues with the teenage years overlapping with that.

24 and 27

37 and 39
now I’m perimenopausal with two teenage girls full of hormones ! Definitely feel 53 most days .

First at 26, last at 33

I was also pregnant at 39 and lost it unfortunately.

29 and 32...ancient ...I'm 74 now

First and last at one month off 41. Looks like I’m an oldie! Was IVF but nothing to do with age. Pregnancy was a breeze. Felt better than ever before.
